you saying this Kogan headphone is on par?

      • are you saying it isn't?

  • +1

lol, you mean TaoTronics have competition now.

    • Tao Tronics have Aptx support now…i think.

    Was $79 a month ago,now $99.

    • reminds me of the day where the special price > rrp.

    • how does kogan make money with a 60% discount?

      • Pretty easy. Make for $10, price for $200, reduce to $90, make them Apple Dollars.

        Kogan are flogging crap

  • I like how they didn't even bother stamping their logo on these lol

    • They know its beyond shit.

No point in attaching such shitty products to their brand.

      • Would tarnish the Kogan=Quality mindset they've so clearly achieved

    • And spend money stamping their logo on for no gain whatsoever?

      • Well they put it on everything else is more my point

How did they get away with copying Bose design ?

    • +1

Maybe in much the same way as people can sell fizzy pop in a red and white can. Unless it's a direct copy of a particular Bose model, I can't really see them troubling to even generate a nasty e-mail, if they are selling on quality rather than 'bling'. I'd always heard that what Bose brought to the pure reproduction party was a wizardry with porting, baffling and other wave guides. That isn't dependent on a flash of silver.

People looking for Bose aren't buying these, and are unlikely to be misled.

      • Well I took my headsets out to compare they are 95% direct copy. Missing logos

  • -7

Sorry OP I'm going to downvote as it copying Bose headset design, we shouldn't encourage and support such actions

    • You'd better do a lot of down voting then, Bose is one of the most copied designs.

Well it hurts the economy and R&D, Kogan being wannabe market leader should do better.

I know there are counterfeit products literally just about anything from China

Makes Kogan no different to cheap eBay sellers selling counterfeit products

They don't want to put their logo on it as they know they are doing the wrong thing

Each to their own but imo it is a wrong doing and we should not be supporting this, it costs us jobs and money.

        • +1

it doesn't cost "us" anything, nothing about BOSE is done on-shore either here or in America.

BOSE also hardly has the rights to a simple headphone shape either.

    • CCP do not acknowledge foreign IP, eg copy Xiaomi copy Dyson Apple. but believe that foreign country must acknowledge Chinese IP. What a bunch of hypocrites. Huawei phones are identical in design of iPhones.

Yikes, probably source them from aliexpress for $20. There are much better options for $99

that's their whole business model, sell shit goods at high prices.

Only thing this will get them is non- returning customers and ACCC complains.

      • yep their business whilst legal (for the most part), is extremely shady. The only thing I ever bought from them is a cheapo smart light bulb which i can just throw it away when I move. Other than that no thanks.

        • I bought a Kogan iron, it looked used when I bought it new.

          Very shady practice

      • They sell primarily to idiots who don't know Quality regardless. Half price $200 headphones?!? Deal!!

Can't be mad at companies taking advantage of people

  • +3

Not a deal considering mass manufactured Chinese Bose replicas are available for less. And it's Kogan, yuck!!
