With the next iteration being announced these have taken a price dive. I had my local Harvey Norman price-match without issue. For me the differences between the XM3 and XM4 aren't big enough to warrant that we are unlikely to see a big discount on the XM4 in a while. Hopefully this helps you!

There is no other way guys. Don't judge me if I asked for credentials. Sony store account could have any password but price match is linked to the user email that's the reason I asked for it.
what was the process of price matching? i filled out there form on the website but im not sure theyll honour it
I filled the form in, and shortly after, they sent me an email saying it was successful and told me to create an account, and they'll change the price in cart

Hmm I paid $270 at JB in September last year… with 5% off gift cards it would have been $256.50. So price hasn't moved much /s

And I told you the reason for this is the price matched product is connected to the email. If you hadn't created an account I could set up a new one with a generic passwrod and placed order with my own payment method.

ooo, apparently you get a $25 feedback voucher from sony if you don't purchase the price matched item on time? did that ever come through?

Just a word of advice, XM4's have lost aptX codec support, meaning you'll be forced to use SBC or AAC when using PC since LDAC isn't supported by Windows or iOS. I've been looking for an LDAC USB Bluetooth Dongle since XM3 released almost 2 years ago with no luck.
TL:DR Sound quality extremely suffers if you want to use XM4 on a PC.

Took me over a year to find that little nugget of info.
I placed the order when the deal was live. The price went to $399 once I hit place order, but $259 was charged and I have an order confirmation. I don’t have much hope though after reading the comments..
I was ready to buy the x4 reluctantly at $550 but for $300 odd less the x3 felt like a no brainer. If it gets cancelled I’ll probably wait for them to drop to $499 somewhere.

he probably bought the other model or a second hand one from gumtree. I've been tracking the WHXM3 pricing for the past few days and it's all around $350
DigiDirect briefly had them for $199.50 last night or so. If you search for Sony WH in the search box on their website and wait for the auto results to show up it is still showing as $199.50, but is $359 when you click on them
EDIT: I should mention - everything on their website was briefly 50% off, which was an error
@skido: Nah, but you could do a price protection claim as they haven’t stated it was a price error. For all we know it was a one hour flash sale on their website.
@skido: Someone posted a Mavic Mini Fly More Combo deal which is when I saw it, but it appears the 'flash sale' was only live for a very short period. Logically it was an IT error or something, no company can afford 50% off the type of stock they carry
