  • Is there any difference between the popular Buro Metro Task:

    https://www.winc.com.au/main-catalogue-variantproduct/buro-m…

    • There's a reply in another post, but as it was from a different seller, i'll just leave you with the link.

      • I read that but it's a different chair - Buro Alto Task Chair not Metro Task.

        • Ah, good point.

    • +2

@tlai we don't stock the Buro, so we don't want to speculate too much on the similarities and differences between the two chairs. The Buro looks fairly similar to the Ergo, but we have noticed a few differences:

      • The Ergo has an adjustable seat slider and ratchet back (the Buro has a fixed seat and back)
      • The seat size is larger on the Ergo, and the foam on the Buro doesn't seem as high-density as the Ergo
      • Ergo has a weight rating of 165kg vs Buro 150kg
      • The Buro does not have BIFMA Certification (the Ergo does)
  • Also do you have any mesh base chairs similar to the ergohuman? https://www.templeandwebster.com.au/Ergohuman-V2-Plus-Deluxe…

    • If you've never owned an Ergohuman, test one first. They are no good if you are under 6-foot tall. I'm 5-10 and I felt like a kid sitting on Dad's chair. Arm rests sit at uncomfortable height. Seat doesn't go low enough that my legs could bend 90-degrees at knee. It adjusts in about a million ways, but impossible to get comfortable.

      • where can i test these chairs ?

Use of the word "Metro" in title was not accidental. Pretty sleazy.

    • +1

@snackpacket It wasn't accidental - we advertise 'Free Metro Shipping' at the top of our website and in all our marketing :-) We find 'metropolitan' to be a bit of a mouthful!

  • I bought a very similar looking chair from Aldi for 50 dollars.

    wtf?

    • I got the same one, and at checkout it went down further to $30. Sitting on it now. Not bad. Better by far than the $900 Ergohuman E7 I bought previously.

    • Any links? Is it this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/513924

I also bought a very similar car to a Ferrari. 2 doors and 4 wheels

      • Strange… I have recently bought a plane with a striking resemblance to Gulfstream G550

  • Hi Rep,
With the seat slider - what heights would this chair be suitable for?

    • Hi @dasher86, the seat slides 50mm forwards, and the seat height range is between 450 - 540mm. I'm 6ft tall and the chair is suitable for me, but we also have people in the office who are much shorter and it can also be adjusted to suit their needs :-)

Thanks rep. I will confer with my better half.
I was looking to get an Ergohuman Enjoy / Ergohuman IOO V3 as the seats were also adjustable.

This chair may do the trick instead.

    Hi Rep,
What are the differences between this and the cascade chair to justify the premium? Still tossing up between the two.

    • Hi @cherrypick. The Ergo is fully adjustable (back/seat angle, seat slider etc.), has a thicker seat cushion than the Cascade and also has a higher weight rating :-)

  • Trying to buy with free delivery to Hallam (metro Melbourne). It's charging me $88. It's that right?

    • @asc water tanks - this should be fixed now!

  • Just ordered one,

    thanks.

    Hi Rep,

Can the seat depth be adjusted to suit someone who is 5'5" (1.65m)?

    • @ania389 - It sure can! We have someone in the office sitting on one right now who is just over 1.6m tall :-)

I bought a similar cascade chair under $70 from Kogan,.. no joke pictures of them look very similar

  • Is there a way where I can find these chairs and feel them before I can buy them?
