Will wait for reviews but if the buds and buds+ are anything to go buy these will be amazing.
Yeah, interested to know how these stack up against the Sony wf-1000xm3 and Sennheiser momentum true wireless 2. I'm going to guess that they don't sound as good as either but the call quality might be better. I'm also keen on earphones that connect to multiple devices at the same time but there's no confirmation of whether these do.
While the Sennheiser momentum true wireless 2 are $499 in most places (so more than double in price) you can get them for $319 from Good Guys Commercial.
Buds+ have better sound than both of those so good chance the live will stack up well.
Haha, have you tried the other two? Both are considered the best sound you can get for wireless earphones.

"Compared to similarly-priced rivals, such as the Sony WF-1000XM3s, there’s no contest. The Sonys extract more emotion, detail, and deliver a much more purposeful performance."
Given that the Sennheiser's are considered better than the Sony's in 9 out of 10 reviews I'd say that the Samsung's are easily beat by both. That's understandable given the price difference but I don't understand how you came to your conclusion?
Further views on the Sony's being better than the Galaxy Plus

@C0mbat: It's funny, as from my listening, the WF 1000xm3 sounds like it was made for bass heavy consumers, even after tweaking it sounds unbalanced and artificial. I get better sound out of cheap wired IEMs. Sound is really subjective, so no amount of reviews like that will give you a good picture.
Here's another review to compare against where galaxy buds rate higher.

Which shows that the galaxy buds are far more accurate if that's what you are after?

https://www.soundguys.com/sony-wf-1000xm3-review-25342/
@onlinepred: Yep, fair enough, there certainly is a lot of subjectivity. Even if these new versions sound nearly as good but have better call quality, with the ability to connect two devices at the same time, I'm sold.
@C0mbat: Although this review suggests that they are not as good as the Buds Plus and that the ANC isn't great because of the open ear design. Shame.
https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_buds_live_handson_re…
@C0mbat: Well it's inherent and obvious on the design, if you don't want inner ear canal buds, there are not many options. If you want a seal, you would be looking at the buds plus.
@C0mbat: How about an actual technical review not some random anecdotal opinion?

Sony vs buds+ - buds+ more accurate sound and better rating overall

Sennheiser TWS 1 and 2 vs buds+ - buds+ more accurate sound and better rating overall
Buds+ are the best truly wireless earbuds money can buy, only reason to get apple, sony or any other brand was active noise cancellation if you wanted that for some reason. Now Samsung has active noise cancellation, will be interesting to see if they can also deliver the sound accuracy.
Concerned about the mic quality without a stem, we will see what the reviews say!
Concerned about the low IPX2 rating.
I did a quick scan and I didn't realise the buds and buds+ have no waterproof rating. I wore my buds in a monsoonal downpour thinking they were waterproof- they survived. Lucky I guess.
Buds are meant to be IPX2 rated
@dav3: Cool, the first Google link said no rating and I didn't look further- so I trust you're right. They survived what I would say was almost as bad as being in a shower but the design might be a bit different with the Lives, so who knows.
Thank You. I cancelled my order from regular store and then re-placed a new order from Edu store.
How do I get that price ? I'm on the edu store
This or pixel buds (if they they fix the connectivity issue)? Waiting on MKBHD video to decide.
Lol.. As if the connectivity issue will ever be fixed. This is a classic example of the parent company not admitting they can't make it work. Move on.
they did admit
Google should be leading lol, so bad
What I meant was they admitted the problem but won't admit they can't fix it.
If it was fixable via firmware alone it would have already been done. Reading between the lines I suggest there is a hardware/design issue at play.
Wait you are seriously considering pixel buds? Have you not read reviews and long term feedback off reddit etc? Loads of issues.
yeah I'm deep in the Google assistant/home ecosystem. I've found that proprietry hardware works best.
So you walk around the street constantly asking Google questions? I mean it works best, but at the cost of being overpriced and below par. At least apple have high quality products when you pay for it.
FYI I'm using GA on my s10e and Beoplay headphones. Wouldn't ever get a Google home though haha.
So you walk around the street constantly asking Google questions?
Yeah that's the idea. My use case is specically for WFH, setting calendar appointments, getting an update on my agenda, setting reminders etc.
Outside of this updating shoppping list, thermostat change and lights would be cool without picking up my phone while I work.
@umadbrahhhh: I do this on my phone without picking it up….
As someone who has always had trouble with earbuds staying in the ear (from old school sitting outside the ear canal to the now insert into the ear canal), I'm really interested to see reviews about its fit.
Any info if these will have BT/BLE dual-mode Bluetooth? Can't find mention of it in features so far…
Is there a sneaky way to make a education account ?
'
Sneak into a uni and get a degree?
Any reviews yet? If these have good call quality compatible to airpods pro then might be onto a winner.
I only just got the Galaxy Buds + a few months ago :\
a review about suggests they are better. Buds+ still $16 more on edu store. are the Buds live worth it? I have $35 QCY T2S which are pretty good but drop out occ.
as in Buds+ are better? Galaxy Beans are for people who don't want stuff in their ear canals I guess.
are these the same as in this review? https://www.whathifi.com/au/reviews/samsung-galaxy-buds-live
yep it is
seems they got a dud pair, nearly every other review dont have the same issues. Even the writer said it might be a dud.
Anyone still looking to buy this? I am planning to buy 2 using the EPP account.
I've already ordered it and waiting for shipping, a bit frustrating that the Australian's release date is a quite late though.
Yes, I am planning to buy 1. I have EDU account.
Mine shipped. Eta tmrw
Same! Arriving tomorrow. Good old Samsung and early deliveries :)
ah shit missed out on this. theyre $255.20 on the education portal, which is a 20% discount, not sure if i should get
For what it's worth, I've been using them for a few days now and they're been great
Sound quality, battery life and comfort are good, noise cancelling is average at best.
Used airpods gen 2 before the buds live and prefer these.
Does refferal code works on top of this?
Also on EPP store for same price.
