  • Are these sturdy? I am using the taotronics headphones that are very popular here. Sturdy-ish build with the exception of the twisty earpads. It worries me enough to not want to give it to my 7 year old.

    • I don't have the sony but i do not really like my taotronics, but I put up with it because it is still cheaper than the sony.

I have no problems with bluetooth pairing of the taotronics, seems to work well. noise cancelling is useless on my taotronic and sound quality is mediocre at best.

      • sound quality is mediocre at best.

Man, why keep on torturing your precious ears? Don't they deserve the best?

    • I have what I think is a predecessor to this model the MDR ZX330BT. The review linked is concerned about the plastic band’s sturdiness. It goes on to be worried about shoving them in to a bag and that I could foresee being a problem. I’ve had mine for a few years and wear them when gardening and mowing the lawns, the dust and the occasional knock hasn’t been an issue.

I’ve suggested to ms sween64 if she wants to take them for travel the buying a case for them from Amazon would be a very good idea.

      • toddler bending them was only just an issue, i had those ones too and they had a pretty rough life (the cushions were even filled with tissue paper)

    • +1

My 8 and 10 yr old kids each have a pair of these. Although the long term durability is unknown still, they seem to be holding up ok.

  • I know their postage is still quite cheap in relation to say someone like Spotlight but how is it JB still can't offer free postage on say orders over $50+
Maybe I'm salty as I live in Melbourne & my JB is more than 5k's from my house for p/up… & even better my Officeworks is basically right next to JB!!

    • Do you have an Officeworks within 5km? Or maybe the 5% discount could offset the postage costs…

  • +2

I bought mine for $39.99 (down from $49.99) from Aldi in January. I'm happy with it. Battery lasts for many hours. Enjoy doing gardening and lawmowing with it. :)

    • Any chance you have a photo of the product and price tag in store?

      • Sorry, but however I believe you can't price match now since I bought it more than 6 months ago.

        • I can with my credit card. I don't think they would accept the receipt though.

  • they are fine, good battery and sound but when i connect to my phone and speaking to someone, i can hear my own voice (echo) in headphones. anybody else having this issue?

  • Can it connect to 2 devices at the same time?
