Can't seem to see the resolution anywhere? Any idea what the res is?

    • +4

      From AOC's site it's 1920x1080

    • +2

      1920x1080 I'm afraid :(

      • Damn…

    • +1

1920x1080, too cheap to be QHD or UHD

  • +4

    1080pee

  • waiting for this price for the 24" version again.

    • So you would pay the same price for a small screen?

      • +1

Yup. 1080p on a 27 is ewww for normal PC use (for me anyway).

  • +1

Dodgy by Kogan not to list the resolution on the page. Though should be expected at this price

    • Marketplace - Sold by Harris Technology

      • Harris technology is a well known retailer

        • Your point?

  • +1

is this better or relatively the same as MSI Optix G241 (399 at centrecom) besides that msi is 23.8 inchs and aoc is 27 inchs and cheaper?

    • +4

Comparable. Personally I would prefer 24" at 1080p. But regardless the stand on the AOC is better (height, tilt etc)

      • oh thanks did a bit more research looks like i'll stick with the msi. thank you for replying :)

  • +1

Shopping Express will have the 4K model for $399 tonight if anyone interest.

    AOC U2790VQ 27" 4K UHD IPS

    • +5

Very different uses. 144hz vz 60hz and 1ms vs 5ms. You won't be gaming at 4K

    • +1

Seems like 4k model is only 60hz, which doesnt really crosss over with the same audience.

    • Good price for a 4K IPS - will be good for photo editing/graphic design, gaming not so much.

        • +1

No need to judge people by what games they play dude. Don't be an ass

            • +1

@lordezekiel: We get it, you play cinematic games so you're a connoisseur of video games.
Shooters are monumentally more fun for lots of people, including myself.
People can enjoy what they enjoy.

            • +3

@lordezekiel: A person's choice in the games they play or TV shows they watch is purely subjective so there is no such thing as "poor taste" or "trash"….

On the other hand, mocking someone's personal tatse is not subjective and can be judged. They're usually referred to as an a**h***

        • +1

Fair enough, I'm just commenting based on what I've read, i.e. the general consensus for gaming seems to be refresh rate > resolution. Apologies if it offended you.

I hardly game these days, mainly using a 4K 60Hz monitor for photo editing and working with spreadsheets, hence the first part of my comment.

  • -7

Excellent for the price if you are not so greedy and obsessed about 1440p.

    • +8

What if I just want to use a higher resolution for my PC monitor? Why does that make me greedy and obsessed?

      What a strange comment.

      • The obsessed part? Valid. The greedy part? WTF.

    • Those pretentious individuals who click "Display settings"

      • -2

it is proven the price was unreal as it turned out a price error yet they were being still greedy as in like " why is it not QHD"

  • +2

Sold out by the looks of it

    • ozbargained guess ill keep waiting

  • I searched OZB for this earlier, nothing came up really. Kept searching and looking at other options. Clicked on google shop search and see this deal, go to add to cart, sold out. Come check if it was posted here… Now I am sad.

Any other recommendations of similar monitor? I was looking at the LG 27GL650-B, which was a bit more expensive when compared to this at $350, at $250 this was no brainer, but now I am back to square one.

Looking at 1080p because I can't really push high frames and reso, it's one or the other and I'd prefer refresh.

    • I recently pulled the trigger and bought the AOC 24g2 144hz ips 1080p. Got mine for $312 (incl shipping) from pcbyte, not the best price but good in these corona times. 24" though, not 27

  • Sold by Harris Technology. They also have it on Amazon for $368.98. Likely pricing error by Kogan.

  • damnit, would've ordered 3 for my racing sim.

  • -4

Failing to show resolution on the product listing of a monitor should be a neg.

  • IPS panel, 144hz ,1ms for $250 delivered is pretty good imo
manage to order 1 an hour ago, had aoc 144hz previously they are pretty decent for the price.

  • Pricing error same as the previous AOC 32" listed?

  • +1

Omg, would be a buyer at this price! Oh well, earlier bought the Dell instead, but not sure if it will get delivered. Good find OP!

    • Same here. Already bought the dell one.

  • Agreed $250 is a good price for IPS, even though full HD.

  • ofcourse it's sold out……

  • $272.93 delivered on Amazon AU also from Harris Tech.

His is listed as the 27G2E5. Not sure what the E5 difference is.

    • +1

Just found that 27G2E5 isn't on AOC site, but the Amazon listing is only 75hz not 144hz.

  • Now $368.50 and available.
I'm thinking they listed the 27G2E5 price on a 27G2.

  • +7

Well it seems it was indeed a pricing error and I’ve just been contacted by the vendor saying that they’re unable to honour the price.

    Guess I won’t have a new monitor.
