Been waiting for this to go on sale as needed a bottle warmer for the grandparents' house, and whilst at $48 delivered from Amazon AU is not the cheapest (previously it was $45), it is currently nearly half price from the RRP of $89.95, although most places have it on sale for about $60.

I have the older version of the Tommee Tippee Bottle & Pouch warmer which I was originally looking for but due to it being superceded, there's limited stock for sale and even on Amazon AU it's $64… so might as well buy the revised/newer version.

Also available for pick up at Big W for $48 with the potential to use discounted Wish gift cards/collect points. Thanks elequent.

    • Thanks for the heads up. Tempting to save a couple of dollars with 5% discounted Wish gift cards but bit lazy to drive to my nearest Big W! Others might appreciate this so have edited post.

  • I will never get another Tommee Tippee electrical product.

Our steriliser hasn't worked properly from day 1. It always cuts out in a couple of minutes and leaves some lukewarm steam floating around. Only after restarting process manually, does it actually complete the sterilisation process.

Googling identifies that the issue is prevalent with a lot of other people.

Tommee Tippee customer support is good - but they also agreed for me to return the product for a refund.

For what it’s worth I went with a simple Avent microwave steriliser and have been pretty happy with it all.

    • If they offered a refund then it’s not that bad.

Do these work with Philips bottles etc.?

    • philips avent natural? yes

    • I assume so given the description says it works with most brands, and the older model which I currently have works fine with Philips, Pigeon, etc…

  • Anti-Colic bottles are on special as well (50% off RRP)

So I'm generally against buying stuff from K-Mart - a lot of the stuff they sell is junk….however my better half loves them.

We got ourselves the First Years bottle warmer from there. I was initially sceptical - "what can this thing do that warming a bottle in a big cup of hot water not do? It's just heating the milk in the bottle, after all". However, I am now convinced. It warms a bottle to a consistent temperature every time. Simple to use, and it just works. Fits all the bottle types we have thrown at it, and only $29. A bargain. Not sure why you would need to buy a fancier bottle warmer…

The KMart product looks pretty good value too. I think what I liked about the Tommee Tippee is the ability to use the front facing buttons to tailor it based on room temp, cold or frozen, type of container (pouch vs plastic container vs glass container) and amount/size… and it becomes very repeatable/consistent for my parents to use, and you don't need to refill the water each time.

That being said, I also thought like you before I got the bottle warmer and was so sick of doing it manually and guessing and checking with hot water in a bowl… but my friend convinced me to try it and it has been one of the best purchases ever especially when you need to do it at 3am in the morning half asleep!

Those front facing buttons / the ability to heat specifically for frozen, etc, sound like some great features.

Had the First Years one not appeared magically after an unsupervised K-Mart outing, and I knew about the Tommee Tippee one, I might have got that.

  • Am i the only one around here that uses a mug with hot water to warm it up - like some 18th century peasant?

  • Mine arrived today but interestingly not in an Amazon cardboard box - it was just the Tommee Tippee box with various delivery stickers stuck onto it. I'm guessing that was one of the options in the checkout process around whether it was ok to not be in Amazon packaging but I assumed it was in some other kind of generic packaging. Given it came in pretty good shape (ie no clear dents/bumps) I'm not too fussed but haven't tried it yet.
