I'm confused how is the scale supposed to know things about my foods? :(
Did it follow its facebook page or its browsing history? what?

You can register foods and nutrition info onto the scale. More trouble than it's worth though.

  • We have the green version of this scale… it looks very similar (aside from colour).

It works very well, and it utilised standard batteries which is a big bonus.

Is that the same Michelle Bridges convicted of drunk driving with her 5yo son in the car?

Does anyone know if this measures to tenths of a gram or just to the nearest gram?

looking for some coffee grind scales but it appears this is to the nearast gram.

    • +12

      Yeah… "coffee"…

    • I looked for the same thing. I know it costs way more than this but can't recommend the acaia lunar high enough. If you're weighing your shots or pour overs - you can't beat it. It is unfortunately not $14😬

      • I searched for it. It's over 300 dollars!
Any recommendations for a cheaper alternative?

        • I had a brewista smart scale v1 before the acaia and that was good except would occasionally reset half way through using it which was annoying. I know they have moved on to v2 now which might be better (v1 also had some moisture ingress issues apparently). Might be able to pick one of those up for about a hundred….
Apart from that you might have to do some hunting around on the coffee forums for ebay/amazon cheapies. FYI I picked up my acaia on super special for $206 delivered. Maybe consider a second hand acaia - they're good for commercial use…

    • That white line…

      • Yes. I believe he wants to measure his white lines to the nearest tenth of a gram.

I would like know that too! I And can it weigh Dill Weed? Asking for a friend.

  • 10kg capacity? What is this? A scale for ants? It has to be at least 3 times bigger than this…

    • Those are some pretty big meals you're cooking there…

    • +1

I'll have you know that 10kg of ants is one heck of a lot of calories.

Dont care about the nutrition function, but the price seems OK to just using it as a normal kitchen scale.

  • Anyone has this? Just wondering what increments it is

    • -5

      what increments it is

      increment or excrement ?

I would advice against buying this…ours wouldn't switch on easily as it doesn't have a physical button. We exchanged for another piece and it was the same. It has an electronic ON button and it often required 10+ presses before it would switch on…and sometimes it just wouldn't

    • +2

We bought one on 31/07/20, and went to use it yesterday and found the same thing. The only way to turn it on was to remove & replace the batteries (I tried different sets of batteries with the same result, so it wasn't dodgy batteries). Returned it today to BigW for a replacement, and the replacement is not much better - more like yours where given enough presses it will turn on - so it will go back for a refund next week.

The weird thing is that the Off & Zero buttons worked every time - just the On button that doesn't work.

In short, I cannot recommend - they are absolute rubbish.
