    But only the Reno line uses Mediatek SoC (and those being quite competent) and ColourOS 7.0 is closer to Stock Android than ever.

    I've got an Oppo a72 from Optus $299 has Snapdragon processor and I run nova launcher instead of ColorOS

        The only difference is A72 has a better camera and bigger storage.

        Both points are kinda moot as you can (and should) install Gcam anyway and they both have microSD card slots

  Color OS is dreadful any advice on how to install stock android?

  I tried messaging Oppo but they said it can't be done if I wanted a terrible restricted operating system I'd buy an iPhone. Wish I knew how bad the os was before purchase.

    ColorOS 7 is good though? I've been using it on my A52 and it's just the same as any other phone. Can't speak for earlier versions though.

  Beware my oppo reno2 z runs laggy as hell after the color OS 7 update.
  It used to run great on 6 now its only usable if i put it in high performance mode and restart it 2 times a day.

    I have the original reno z and same issues after the os update. Others say there's run great idk how mine gets so laggy after a few hours it's unusable and requires restart. Tried everything including factory reset no way to revert or rollback I wish I didn't update it.
