Also a 720p screen on a 6.4 inch phone
How so ?
As in does not support 5GHz -> only 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz
No NFC either and not FHD.
No NFC kills it
that's right.. better off getting the Oppo A52 or even Nokia 5.3
if you really want a moto… i find only the G8 Power Lite is worth buying
OW box hill didn’t beat the last G8+ deal. Made me wait ten minutes just to say no. Sigh
No NFC? Can't find it listed anywhere..

is this not much better spec wise and similar price? i understand it's grey import but i have no issue with that.
If you're looking to grab one of those, I'd recommend paying the extra $15~ or so and getting the 9 Pro.
9S doesn't have NFC but the Pro does.
Plus it's a minimal difference for a "better" phone :)
yep nfc is a must have for extra $15, im just illustrating that it is very easy to pick a phone that's similar price but way better spec than the G8.
If you are happy with white, they are $299 Delivered on Myphonez eBay, $290.03 if you have the targeted 3% off code HAPPY3.
Or if you have eBay Plus, $307 Allphones eBay with POFF10 code.
that's an overseas model
Honestly better off grabbing an Oppo A52, even at full price it's cheaper than this and better phone (namely 5Ghz WiFi, NFC, dual-sim + microSD, a bigger battery, and a 1080p screen).
I have had the A52 for a few weeks, zero problems with it. Also had a software update last week. Bit heavy though, thanks to the bigger battery.
thanks.. I was looking at a decent phone for my parents around this price.
Does the A52 actually have NFC? It’s not listed on that GSM Arena page or JB’s product page…
Edit: OK, looks like there’s other comments here saying no NFC.
Yes it does, I've used it for google pay a few times.
There was just an error with those listings, although it's listed on the Oppo Australia site.
A couple days bought g8 plus from The Good Guys Commercial for $327
Forgive the stupid question, but what do you need to qualify for Good Guys Commercial?
Thanks, but I guess I was more wondering along the lines of if you had say a hotel or restaurant, whether you could apply directly. Couldn't see anything on the GG website about it.
No worries. Might give them a ring later today.
I got the access a while ago via G'day rewards (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/413149)
BTW, the invoice contains G'day rewards as the customer.
G9 will drop soon
Hopefully, the screen's protected!
No 5Ghz wifi kills it
