I ordered replacement heads for my toothbrush on june 1 still nothing and AE won't let me open a dispute so I would'nt order anything from there anymore

Ordered a toothbrush from AliExpress in late April and only received it today. Nearly 3 months. Still waiting on another one I ordered in early May.

Hello, PLC-520 will be shipped from local warehouse and delivered in 2-10 days. Please no worry.

What's that got to do with Reolink? Did they sell you the toothbrush? AliExpress is a marketplace like eBay afterall.

I have been using Arlo 1 and arlo 2 and 2 businesses
and Ring doorbell at my home
Absolute POS. It has been offline more than it has been online. Batteries last days and fail within year.

Bought the 360 degrees Riolink approx 3 months ago and hasnt missed a beat, Just bought the 2 x waterproof one with Solar panel for $150 ish few days ago and have them up. Going to retire my branded stuff. This product is good. HOWEVER why run a POE system. if your going to run a cable. Might as well just do cable.

Hopefully my solar ones stack up. 1/3 the price of anything

FU Arlo Pro. Cost me more effort since day 1

HOWEVER why run a POE system. if your going to run a cable. Might as well just do cable.

Ahhh what? I think you should Google what PoE stands for and understand how that cable works

      • -3

I mean just run standard power. Running a network cable to a POE router for multi Cameras. Pointless I feel. Direct power or $40 solar p[anel if outside is a easy solution

        • +4

I mean just run standard power.

Lol, you still don't seem to understand what POE means.

        • +1

You don't make sense PoE allows for both the data transmission and power, now if this is about you not wanting to add a PoE switch you could use a PoE injector or the NVR. PoE make the connection much cleaner and quicker with running the one cable. Why would you suggest to run "direct power" and the solar panel will not keep anything topped up. Anyway those systems arnt designed for 24/7 recording. You say 2 days and your battery is already at 54%? How is that good compared to PoE.

          Please google PoE

    • Does your solar panel for Reolink work well? Does it provide enough power for the camera or you need to bring camera down every now and then to charge ?

Day 2. So to early to tell. Side of the house that only gets morning sun and its in winter and overcast. So is the worst of the worst.
        Check back in 1 weeks
        Battery at 9am says 54%

  • Edit: wow, hang on, that is the price without tax, even though ships from Australia, you still need to add GST to those prices, very sneaky OP, very sneaky…

    Original:

Free Shipping to Australia via AUSPOST
Delivered before 08/03 or full refund

You son of a gun, I'm in.

    • Well it's quoted in US$ you should always expect the tax and sometimes bank conversion fees….

      Didn't neg you

      • That's alright mate, fees are always expected, but If it claims that ship from local warehouse, at least add to the price that it is + GST.

About the neg… it is part of the job, you can't get +'s without some -'s

        • I think it's a Aliexpress limitation. No matter if it's local stock tax still is collected which sucks. Dam you Harvey

          • @DoesntEvenMatter: So it's actually ~AU$56.67 +GST?
I don't think the other recent RLC-410 deal direct through 'Reolink AUS' which also charged in USD had that GST gotcha, or maybe it did and I didn't notice during checkout….
I'm actually at the point now that if a killer deal comes up for the 4K NVR package, I'd probably jump on it.

  • does anyone know if the IR light can be turned off?

    • Yes, you can turn off IR via the app easily if you don't want or need it.

I'm specifically after one that gives free viewing in Russia and China. Can someone confirm this works as expected?

    • It's harder to find isn't it, because Russian and Chinese government probably value citizen's privacy more than capitalist and allied countries' governments.

  • Argus 3 is now out for the those interested. OP - any deals on this one?!

  • I'm looking for a wired camera (don't want to have to charge or change batteries) that I can view on my Google Nest Hub and mobile phone.
Not sure if this product satisfies the latter?

    Any recommendations would be great.

    • Not this. Can't be used with Google assistant. You will need a argus 2 or 3 and connected to DC power

      • I'm just beginning to research these and am no expert, but the linked description page shows Google Assistant and someone using a Google Home Hub.

"It can’t be easier to control a security camera that works with Google Assistant. Just say “Hey Google, show me the backyard” and you will see live feed from the camera on your Google Nest Hub or Chromecast-enabled TVs."

        • Maybe they have been updated. I'm now unsure but last I checked there was a note on which where compatible

Applies to: All Reolink cameras (Reolink Argus, Reolink Go, and the cameras paired with the NVR system excluded. )

        • Hello, IP cameras with hardware IPC_513 and 515 can work with Google Home: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039318914-W…

  • What software are people using for these things?

I've given up on Unifi Video on PC so was going to trial a couple of Reolink cams with Synology NAS and also Blue Iris on PC. If they don't work out, I might just get the Reolink 4k NVR package.

      • Yeh, found the Synology NVR which looks pretty cool

      • The NVR is pretty good. I've retired my synology for the cctv even tho it was great

  • Bring back the package deals please OP

    • They have a number of package deals (but none of the 5MP ones I checked shipped from AU) if you go to Products->Security Camera System-> 5MP PoE system

  • Please advise: will these single/ stand alone cameras works on existing reolink NVR? I am trying work out $$ and all. every now and then i see deals like this. So thinking, what if i buy a NVR only one day and buy these cameras one by one (hoping to save some $$) , I am after 6-8 cameras.

Also is there any restrictions with different type reolink cameras on reolink NVR

    Thanks in advance :)

    • Hello, please no worry. Reolink NVR works perfectly with all our IP cameras – including 4K, 5MP, and 4MP PoE/WiFi cameras

  • Not sure why this does not have many up votes… There aren't many 5mp Poe
    in this range

  • want RLC-410W, but no stock in australia

  • does this camera work with reolink nvr if connect via router instead of straight to nvr? same subnet

  • Thanks op, got 2. My first time with reolink…hope the experience is good

  • Hi OP, I assume the option "Cam x 2" means two cameras, correct? Thanks,

    • +1

      yes

      • Hi, I bought 2* (4mm + CHINA + Cam x 2), and should be 4 cameras, but only sent me two cameras. Please investigate asap.
