… Once again. Percentage Saving should come first.

Take it in to consideration… It's a good move.

      Democracy at its finest ;)

      • I just appreciate your use of democracy :)

… Looks like the people approve :)

        • +1

Certainly does! Will make the changes next week. Thanks for the suggestion and support everyone!

        • Thanks for going to the trouble of getting all this info for us <3

"Once again. Percentage Saving should come first."

I'd still prefer them sorted by size and weight so i can load my trolley more efficiently…

      • +3

I'd prefer mine sorted by shape, size and colours so when I load it up on my trolley it looks nice and neat. /OCD.

    • Do you keep a database of the prices? If you had the current price of specials vs their lowest historical price (like thetrackor.com is for amazon), that would be tremendously more valuable than dollar savings or percentages.

does a bit of extra scrolling really hurt you that much?

"Coles Lamb Rocks or Cutlets 1kg, $24"

    What are Lamb Rocks ???

    • Come on! They're like prawns - only meatier.

    • Just another overpriced cut of lamb.
$24 special, are they serious - boney Lamb Racks and cutlets.
By the time you trim the fat and remove the bone, its effectively $40+ a kg.

No wonder people eat a lot more chicken these days. I remember when Chicken breasts were around $6kg, lamb racks were under $10. Chickens gone up maybe 50% in 10 years, lamb over 150%.

      Anyway thanks for posting specials.

      • Well if you buy your meat from Coles / Woolies you are pretty much not a tru ozbargainers. They always over price. head to your local butcher

        • +1

My local butcher is even more expensive. What was once considered an affluent area but no longer is remains expensive for meat, fruit and petrol compared with nearby. Go figure.

        • Butchers are rarely cheaper.

  • +1

rice is on offer both on Woolies & Coles. Any views on which product is better?

    • -1

      long grain

      • i like my rice soft and fluffy therefore short grain (like sushi rice) only use long grain for fried rice, it is too dry

    • Basmati is king. And Indian basmati is considered superior to Pakistani. Check the pack as to the product's origin.

    • Was thinking of the same question myself. Did some search and seems like Pakistani one is inferior (Woolie's one is from there). Not sure if Coles' product is from India.

      Jasmine is the best!!
Don't even think to buy long grain. It's too hard.

I just got a 30 can block of xxxx gold cans for $31.99 instead of $41.99 because of the print error on page 30 of the catalogue. Worth a try if you like that beer.
