  • i am peeved… i bought that drill set a few weeks ago and got 2 batteries… bum!

    The drill rocks tho'

    • I'll be in there first thing to get one, good to know that it isn't a waste though.

Let me be the first to say http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55274 , though this one does have an extra two batteries :)

    • its like comparing apples with bananas.

      • I think that is pretty enough to assembly your new furniture unless you need it to drill hard concrete :)

They say the average drill gets used for 12 minutes during its lifetime. I've used mine for at least 15 minutes all up, plus I lent it to my brother and he's clocked another 15 minutes, so I've raised that average a smidgin.

    • I have used mine heaps - put in hex attachment and screwed together all our Ikea furniture!

  • Op I think there's a mistake in the title: it says "Panasonic 18v Cordless Drill 4 Batteries and Charger" but from the picture I see "2 piece combo kit (and still 4 batteries)" which is more value than a single drill.

But if you guys don't need the combo and want to save money, I would suggest the Hitachi deal $459.

    • both drill deals are great, the Panasonic is a slightly better drill though, plus its batteries are 3.3. the average price for a drill battery is $200~

      • It's like when you buy new ink for your printer, it costs more than the printer itself :)

But I do agree, the Panasonic one looks more professional.

      • Different drills…

Impact drill is not the same as a hammer drill.

Plus Hitachi are a better brand than Panasonic when it comes to hammer/rotary hammers by far.

I'd love to see that tiny panasonic impact drill pull off 64nM of torque.

  • Nice… too bad I've finished most of my kitchen renovation so no justification for me to get the Panasonic set :(

  • Mmmmm makita set…
Wonder what size angle grinder it is…the 4's are kinda stupid…
