Telstra are offering low income families with school-aged kids a $35/mth credit for the first 12 months on our $75 home internet plan.

Am I eligible?
You can apply for the Connected Family Internet Offer if you:
* are receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B
* don't have home internet - or you're on an internet plan with Telstra
* have not connected to the nbn with another carrier in the last 3 months

  I have been trying to get onto this for nearly a month now. I put my address in and it says great you can connect to the nbn via fixed wireless nbn. Below the deal details it gives me a number I have to call to complete the process. Whenever I call I get the COVID rarara spiel and get directed to 24/7 text service who in turn say it has to be completed through the phone number. Anyone had this problem?

  Ordered July 1st, engineer came July 21st and all setup and running. Went from 100mbit unlimited cable, which I was paying $80 a month for but Telstra wouldn't match than on NBN.

      For browsing I wouldn't know, I'd presume most pages load up before it ramped up to full speed anyway.

      Download will be longer, though don't really do that these days with all the streaming services. Those work fine so far, but we don't have 5 people trying to stream 4k at once or anything like that.

      Ping times consistently lower on NBN, both new and old still working so can switch between them for now.
