I'm a long time Uniqlo fan, haha. The MacPac hallo down jacket is the best for the price. But they run oversize.
If you can get hold of any Macpac Halo jacket your size right now, they would be a good buy. Stock is very limited. I cannot be bothered checking store to store (especially under a lockdown).
Toughest is which colour!
If you are buying online, the only choice you have is Stormy Sea (Medium). Yuk!

You said they run small? I'm a L in Adidas, but XL in Under Armour.
They have L in blue, but that may be too small.
The other K brand has them in sale too, but Mac's the best for $99

Only online though. This is because they only have two shitty colours - light gray and torqouise, and MEDIUM sizes are not available.
When I checked in store, they had black in all sizes. However, prices are still $80 for the ultra light down.
Navy, green, gray and light gray are all 59.90 in store, just picked one from Brisbane Indro. They did not update tag prices on all of them but they scan at same price as website.

Macpac hoodied jackets is on sale at $130. Currently have both and Macpac is so much better!
The Macpac will always be warmer due to higher CUIN (loft power) and weight compared to the Uniqlo jacket (which is very light).

Totally agree with you. Macpac mostly uses 100% nylon, whereas Uniqlo is a mix of nylon and polyester.
