.. minus Eyes Wide Shut, which is junk.

(although I haven't seen Barry Lyndon)

  • Amazing! I nearly bought this for much much more.

Some absolute gems in there… except for Eyes Wide Shut. ;)

Update: Bought it with The Wallace & Gromit Collection for $43AUD.

My kids love the Wallace and Gromit collection, and there is another one about inventions with them for about four pounds.

Thank you stanas for highlighting the massive rip off that JBHIFI is inflicting on Australians. There is no justification for this massive price difference of $62.99 (estimated). So JBHIFI is charging it's Australian customers nearly three times the price of Amazon.co.uk. JBHIFI quote on their website that this title is exclusive to them in Australia. Is JBHIFI saying that their exclusive deal means that they can therefore totally overcharge Australians? Long live amazon.co.uk. JB you rip us off again.

      Here we go.

Go complain to Warner if you want prices to go down

    • while the price at ALL local retailers is higher, i think you need to learn about 'distributors' before boarding the 'whinge about local price' train…

if you think JB is pocketing a bonus $60 on this then you might want to think again

"There is no justification for this massive price difference of $62.99". Wow, yet again you're 100% incorrect (at least you're consistent). The "justification" is simple - JB pays the distributor $75-$80 for this boxset. And because they need to make some sort of profit to exist, it gets marked up to $95. Lower during sales. So maybe have a good hard think about who you should be whinging about. johnd - you've done it again!

      • Your apology on behalf of JBHIFI is not accepted, as it appears to be insincere. JBHIFI staff are encouraged to neg this response. Amazon.co.uk fans are encouraged to do the opposite.

  • thats a crazy price!

    Why only 7?
Someone else owns the rights to Spartacus and Dr Strangelove? (and earlier)

    • I would not think so unless there are different rights for the UK release. American blu-rays often get more stuff than they do in UK or OZ, but they are also more expensive. Below is the link to the US release which has Spartacus and Dr Stranglove but cost about $80 more with shipping.

Damn my roommate for just moving out and taking his PS3 with him, now I'll have no where to watch these!

    • +3

Lies! There have been several BD player bargains lately!

  • I wonder which version of Full Metal Jacket this one has

  • Anyone know if there is away to delay the shipping so it is bundled with a preorder?

    • +1

Order it together with the preorder. If they do split them for shipping (happens sometimes) they won't charge you any extra.

      • They did that for me on a different item the other day, and then sent the rest of the items the next day. I figure they just had them in different depots…

  • ~AUD$40 with shipping

  • Good deal. Blu-ray is fast becoming the Aussie bargain hunter's format of choice, especially with these older classic releases, and also no region issues at all when buying from the UK.

  • confused , the link stated 24.99?

    • It's 24.99 in the old currency son.

      • £24.99 before the VAT (their Tax) is removed, £20.83 after VAT is removed.

  • You can get this collection and another Kubrick movie "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" together for $42.18. Good Deal.

    • oh crap, thought that's the full movies from him…..

  • +3

Uncut eyes wide shut? Strangely enough I actually thought it was a half decent movie… oh well, I must be the only one.

    • Did you like Showgirls too?
