For a month or so, I noticed that it's normally around $70. It's good for baking sourdough bread. Sorry if it's been cheaper.

      I disagree - this is a great price. You are confusing this one with the previous OzBargain one piece iron casts.

      This is a historic low price on Amazon according to CamelCamelCamel for this one. This iron cast is two pieces both sides can be used to cook on. You are basically getting two cast irons for the price. And can be used as a Dutch oven

      I got one last month for $76 which was already a good price and to see a further reduction is even better.

          That's a great price agreed. Few comments though:

          • 1.5 years ago - has there been anything more recent at that price?
          • 3Camel says average price through Amazon is $92.98 not $60
          • AUD slightly weaker now

        The 'average' price on Amazon is hugely inflated by the fact that when it's out of stock with Amazon-direct other vendors have it listed for very expensive prices, as per below it's now $119 while as you said yourself it was $76 last month and it's been that price - when in stock - for some time.

    I paid the $70 a month or so ago and don't even feel annoyed it's cheaper now. It's good. Perfect size for baking sourdough.

    Decent price. I’d go for this double dutch 5 quart for baking bread though, find 3 a tad too small.

      Agree - I have the 5 qt for exactly that purpose (among others) - perfect size for bread.

      Got it on amazon for around $80 a couple of months ago.

    I'm looking for a good crepe pan. Would the Lodge L9OG3 10.5 Inch Round Cast Iron Griddle suit or should I look elsewhere ?

      If you specifically want something for crepes then you should get a non-stick crepe pan.

      In saying that I rarely make them, so when I do I just use a large non stick skillet and it works well.

      I got the crepe pan once I was fully converted to cast iron.
      It doesn't get used as much as my frying pan so the nonstick isn't as built up but it's a good pan nonetheless.
