  • Any promo code for the nvr?

    • there was a lightning sale today in amazon but all sold out now. Was $509 delivered

  • Does it support onvif??

    • -1

Many Reolink cameras support Google Home now even old models with a new firmware update , very handy to just ask for it to be streamed on the family TV.This may answer your question.

      • Thanks mate for the reply. Actually I already have Hikvision CCTV cameras at home and wanted to add another camera. After looking into it, i found this does not support onvif(you can not use any other NVR).

          • @bdl: removing comment.

          • @bdl: From posted deal link:

All Reolink security cameras work with Reolink NVRs ONLY.

            • @Sawtell: Can only be used with their nvr is what's stopping me from buying this camera

            • @Sawtell: From the reviews on the page, someone said they used Blueiris, and another said they used their NAS surveillance software, so I reckon combined with the reolink.com link I posted above, it's be more likely to support ONVIF than not.

I know my battery powered Reolink doesn't support ONVIF :(

        • Thanks for pointing this out. I assumed their newer cameras would support ONVIF, like their previous ones did. However, I can't find a single official spec sheet that mentions ONVIF support. Saved me from buying one of these to use with my Blue Iris setup (mostly Hikvision, with Reolink for some small, low priority spaces).

  • When you click through you'll see that this is a turret design, not a dome at all.

If you want the RLC-520 (no zoom), you can pick it up for $30 less on Reolink's eBay store.

    • Hello, it supports ONVIF 2.1, can work with Blue Iris

  • Do we need licenced person to put ethernet cable?

The stupid rule is that you can install your own structured cabling as long as they don't connect to the communications network. Honestly just run them yourself, do some research, avoid parallel to power and if you need more cable make sure you use solid copper. Never ever use CCA especially in a PoE system, illegal in aus and firehazard

Are you sure it's only when connected to the comms network? I thought there was a blanket rule on lan cables. I agree it's stupid but if there is a fire your insurer might be interested to see a heap of potentially illegal cables in your roof 😀. I don't risk it and use the reolink wifi ones, they are great.

        • Hi,

Even with Wifi ones, can we lay 18v/12v power cables in our roof. Is it illegal with low voltage power cables? specially with in case of fire and insurance claim?
