City Of Sydney are having a cycling promotion in Pyrmont Bay Park, just north of the Pyrmont bridge on Friday 12-2pm.

The following was available at the event held last week in North Sydney:
-Free Sausage sizzle, including water or juice
-Free bike checkup
-Test ride a Giant bike (courtesy MC Cyclery)
-Vouchers for free coffee when riding a bike (@ Klink?) in the city (courtesy MC Cyclery)
-Vouchers for free bike fit (courtesy MC Cyclery)
-Vouchers for $250 worth of kit when buying a bike (courtesy MC Cyclery)
-Vouchers for free half day bike rental of an electric bike (courtesy of www.commute.com.au - Location: Cremorne/Manly)
-Freebie handouts of stickers and reflective 'snaps' (I'm not sure what to call them - they wrap around ankles or wrists (e.g. hold trouser legs away from chains)

    Zzzzz it's the Mayor of Sydney trying to raise support for the crap cycleways that screw up the CBD's roads.
    Not saying it's a bad deal, just saying I don't support cyclists stuffing up busy roads.

        swap your car for a bike or public transport. that way you help everybody.

        Roads are built for cars, not cycleways :|
        They build cycleways ontop of roads though, that's not the main problem, the problem is the cycleways aren't fully enclosed, hence cars have to stop for cyclists, cycleways take up space, less space for cars and buses means megatraffic jams.
        Some people must realise that cycling to work or to uni everyday can't be possible especially if it means 1.5 hour travel by public transport each way.
