    Pays for the GST.

    • So did all the sales and coupons last week, and they even offered 7.5% with a $50 cap.

Problem was that the sale discounts weren't as deep as they were in March and earlier. The cashbacks and coupons usually don't make a huge difference if you're only spending less than $30, but the sales often slice a bit deeper at 20-40%.

Hoping for some better prices in October and November.

  • Does Cashrewards work through the aliexpress app? Just to illustrate thw importance, my cart shows as 100usd via the app, and 108usd via the embedded browser in cashrewards.

    • I get a warning saying cashback will not be tracked if i open app, rather than use the iframe mobile browser. This really quite poor if so as APP prices are almost always lower and it usually works for shopback if i recall.

      • I didn’t get a warning on iOS using Mozilla to then open the app. Will update if it tracks or not. Bit dry if it didn’t!

  • $15 cap is a bit meh - would recommend gocashback for 7% uncapped cashback if you're buying anything over > $150

    • +2

This isn't quite correct - You're only better off using a 7% over a 10% if you spend over $215 (0.07x215=$15, 0.10x150=$15). Anywhere between $150 and $215 you're still better off taking the $15 cap

    • +6

But you also get $5 cashback with Cashrewards today ($50 spend or more) so you need to factor that in as well.

      • +2

Probably would advice OP to include in description and everybody using to activate $5 first, just in case

I prefer to use shopback. It is more often to miss the transaction using Cashreward and i had to manually raise dispute, captured the invoice. Too much extra works. Shopback works so well and never miss any transaction.

If stuff coming in from China, likely ETA is 2021 at the rate I'm getting my overseas parcels.

    • It's not that bad, but yeah, expect two or 3 months wait atleast.

Just buy some stuff that you think are cool, like a portable 13.3" portable ips screen for 100 bucks and forget about it, so it becomes a nice little surprise when it finally appears lol.

      • Do you have a link to that screen? Last time I searched I couldn't find one that cheap!

Clarification: couldn't find one that cheap with usb-c connection (which might make the difference)

    • True. Placed an order first week of April, paid extra for 15 day delivery and received my parcel last week. 2.5 months in total.

Good deal but a warning to any new customers that the 'Express' part of AliExpress is a bit of false advertising even appreciating the Covid world in which we live…. still waiting on several orders I made in early May. Don't get me wrong, they are reliable and you will get it in the end, just when you've all but forgotten you ordered it.

    • +2

The express in AliExpress is aspirational.

    • I mean 2-3 weeks is usually where things land under normal circumstances, which is a good effort for economy shipping.

Covid can blow that number out, and quite randomly. If you're worried about shipping times right now, good sellers will have reasonable DHL rates.

I have been waiting from March for two items from AliExpress. Still haven't turned up. Lodged another 3 disputes for thing that haven't turned up. I have ordered many thing in the past, just about all made it. Now I have had zero deliveries from the last 6 items ordered. Cashback is great if you ever get your order.

    • Just had a car charger arrive which was ordered April 28th. Still waiting on 3 other items ordered the same day.

    • Their refund process takes ages, mine is 10+ days still no refunds from them yet

      • It's a dispute process, you need to check in and see if the seller made a counter-offer.

        • the seller sent me a recipt of refund, he told me it can take up to 20 days for the refund

          • @Yaren24: Oh you mean the actual processing time for the refund? That tends to be 2-3 business days, as per normal transactions.

            • @jasswolf: I just checked still waiting, this is 11 days now

              • @Yaren24: I assume this is after a resolved dispute? Contact AliExpress support, their support bot will tell you what the expectations should be, and how to follow-up if the seller messes you around.

Normally the funds are held with AliE until you declare the goods as received, is this a claim for a refund due to a defective product?

                • @jasswolf: No it is actually a product not being received.

Just had an item from March take almost 100 days to get here after being handed off by the seller, and leaving China not long after.

Unfortunately if a sorting centre shuts down or is receiving less items, with economy shipping you're left at the mercy of slowed parcel sorting, quarantine concerns and how long it takes a mail sack/parcel to fill, then get put on a flight or truck, of which there can be multiple international and domestic stops.

    • Which delivery option do you choose when buying from AliExpress? The free one or do you pay a little more for faster delivery options?

      • for now, always ask for DHL.
If you use standard or even EMS, expect to get it before Christmas.
I have ordered 6 items at the start of lockdown, none of them has arrived.

    • +1

Same here. Two items ordered from two sellers in March from aliexpress. Still havent show up yet.

The tracking information stucked at left country of origin a few days after purchase and never changed since then.

I guess this is just due to current international freight cut and slow processing.

    • +4

Agreed. I don't buy cheap Chinese rubbish. I prefer the better made and affordable goods made in China.

    • +2

Good luck with that considering almost 90% of items we use are made in China.

Also it's the CCP threatening Australia, your average Chinese citizen is trying to make a living day by day like all of us without stirring trouble.

    $15 cap (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

  • Aliexpress Cashback always appear 1~2 days after I place my order…

  • Any thoughts on this Aigo Tracer DT240 liquid CPU cooler? $88.86 before discounts, so would come down to roughly $75?

  • +1

I'm impressed with AliExpress for their prices and you get what they say you'll get (at least from my experience). The only bad point is I've forgotten I've even ordered from them when it finally arrives.

    • +1

Set a reminder on your digital calendar, that way if it ever DOESN'T arrive, you can try a claimback. Heck you could even set a reminder on this post for your items arrival date.

    • +3

I've forgotten I've even ordered from them when it finally arrives.

But that is actually the good part! I love surprising myself with crap I totally forgot I paid for. Christmas throughout the whole year.

  • Bought a couple of things in late April and received just a couple of days ago. Pretty good in the current circumstances if you ask me!

  • That was quick, Cashback tracked in under an hour… Now to wait and see if the $5 turns up. Haven't seen the $2 reward from the one in May yet.
I have post-its stuck on my PC to remind me of all these..

    • +1

Please read the terms for each of the bonus offers. You won't have received anything from May yet. Today's $5 bonus:

$5 bonus will not be added to your Cashrewards account at time of purchase. It will be credited separately as approved by 29/08/2020.

  • I've never had aliexpress successfully track via cashrewards. Web browser always - maybe I'm doing something wrong.

    • using adblocker ?
item already in cart b4 clicking ?

  • because of people like u here, i am unable to post any deal yet 😂👍

  • +1

    $15 cap is the kicker.

Also i tried cashrewards for the bonuses with sign up, done everything correctly and it was rejected, even the one first is denied, so never again.

    • Would only have been declined if the spend terms weren't met.

  • been waiting for this or 15% for a month… wasn't expecting this tiny cap.

    the wait continues…

    • How much are you going to spend?

    • It's actually 20% off $50 spend with the $5 cashback until midnight.

  • shit this reminds me, I bought something in Mar at Ali, wonder if it's coming anytime….

  • Thanks, Ordered a Perlon watch strap for my Seiko SKX013 after missing out on all ebay plus s5 watch lottery drops

Due to the current political climate between China and the west I would avoid AliExpress. I ordered something from there recently and they sent the total wrong item. The things they sent did not work and were simply some pieces of small plastic when I ordered Multiple car cigarette lighter Phone chargers. The items were useless and cost a few cents. The seller would not respond to me so I opened a dispute. I posted pictures of the item along with the packaging which showed the tracking number. Someone from AliExpress said I was lying and the package was different to what was sent. The seller did not respond. AliExpress closed the dispute and refused return or refund. The seller now has other bad reviews in English of sending wrong or fake items. I believe the treatment I received was racism due to Chinese government messaging about Australia. I’m waiting on some other items from AliExpress I ordered in April that have not turned up. I would seriously advise not to use this online store. Their buyer protection policy is a lie. You have no right to refund or return as they do not operate in Australia.

    • Can you link to the seller so we know who to avoid please?

I have been trying to contact a seller after my items arrived damaged. I sent several messages and pictures which they ignored. I even asked them to reply otherwise I will open a dispute 2 days ago. They have read all messages and ignored. After reading your comment I decided to open a dispute for a full refund without return. Within 10 minutes I received an email stating my dispute is closed and I will be receiving a full refund without return. So I guess YMMV
