    Possibly.

    Possibly the one bad review that complained about durability did not prep the surface correctly to begin with, or the surface itself was already in a state of deterioration and has gotten worse with time.

    Possibly (and very likely) the bad review complaining of damage when removing them did not use heat to weaken the bond of the adhesive.

    Possibly they are valid complaints too.

      I wouldn't take the chance to ruin my staircase which I paid $1000 per flight.

        Then why are you here? You would have this same problem (which I still don't think is a problem if you just properly used heat) with any kind of strong adhesive in any kind of product applied to any kind of flat and smooth surface.

        Also, you can't just unequivocally go about saying "it is not durable" because you read it on the one bad review, especially when the reviewer did not even disclose the condition of the surface to begin with or what prep work was done.

          I want a bargain, but it doesn't mean it has to be cheap.

          I want to get something like this, if it does what it says and not going to damage my stairs, I would 100% buying.

          It is the risk of buying online, you more likely need to read the bad feedback and see if there is any potential issue, don't you worry at all?

          It is your only opinion but may not be the fact.

          In my 'opinion' that this item is not fit for what it says, and I wouldn't spend my money on this.

  not that it may matter to some / anyone, the Australian Standard for slip resistant tape is AS4586.

  there is nothing listed in the description that it meets the standard ( needs to be at least P3 for indoor use).

  an alternative that does pass for both indoor and outdoor is croc tape which Bunnings

    Yes I bought croc tape from Bunnings. I got the roller too helps apply it
