It says ETA 23/6 for Melbourne. Special orders for Sydney and Perth. I placed my order.
In this instance ETA is never…
And by using our logical brains we can surmise that this is both A) a price error and B) not going to happen.
So you’re saying there’s a chance?
I don’t know to be honest. I got my order confirmation. I’ll wait and see.
Ordered as well, went through, fingers crossed.
More of a chance than eBay Plus AirPods :)
No chance, this exact same pricing error happened at Rosman Computers before (incorrect pricing for Western Digital external HDD) and they had to refund.

Hi Gerald,Thank you for leaving your feedback regarding the order you placed last month. All of our products are generated in a feed which is pulled from the manufacturers/suppliers item list. In this case, WD (Western Digital) had incorrect pricing on their external HDD which you were informed of after placing your order. We refunded the full amount of the transaction as soon as we were made aware of the oversight and did not receive any replies to our messages. Our team at Rosman Computers is working with our partner brands to make sure that these oversights with incorrect product pricing don't happen again!
Kind regards,
Team Rosman Computers
hehe Clearly it's happened again…
Yeah, there's a chance. By the way, Scorptec are giving away free graphics cards, you just have to like and comment on their Facebook page.
I got offered Western Digital WD Elements 4TB USB3.0 Desktop Hard Drive - Black
$199, not what I came for.
sorry what?
Go to sleep bruv.
You need to click the "Add to cart" on the LHS not the RHS where it shows you the recommended products.
why bother?
Ordered for delivery to Adelaide. +$15.
Placed an order - one can only hope.
looks suss
Use PayPal.
what will happened if they cancel the order and not refund if I pay through Paypal?
You will get refunded. That's what buyer protection is.
Will probably be cancelled but I can't not buy it
More dollars than sense
ordered one
Ordered.
Now wait and watch!!
Not again
I want to, but I have been stung too many times with things like this. Learnt my lesson
I usually don't bother as it is most likely a pricing error, but I've been after one so the worse that can happen is that I get my money back later.
Someone's going to wake up in the morning and find that their work for the entire 8 hour shift will be processing refunds.
It doesn't have to be that fast.
Terms & Conditions - Shipping & Returns
If the product was out of stock at the time of order, we are not entitled to give you a refund before the four weeks, as this information was clearly provided to you in the "Quantities available at warehouse" table before the pre-order was placed.
ordered but honesty not with too much hope that it would be honered
Give them a break guys. It's a small store and obviously a price error.
1200+ clicks oh no
This. Clearly it is a mistake ( 8GB version of this on their page is selling for $328). 0% anyone is getting this, you’re just causing trouble if you buy this.
This proves that anyone can make mistakes TB =/= GB :)
For sure.
Might get lucky. Let’s see! And always use protection.
may I ask what protection should use?
Pull out, obviously
hmmm, that method is risky. you should be 'safely ejecting', unless you have Windows 10
In most cases, abstinence is the best protection.
LOL, i was thinking the protection of the payment
@neilhappy: abstain from paying?
Not true because Jesus will protect you. Go raw my friends.
Sure thing Abbott
Ordered one Shipping to Bunbury WA ;)
Ordered one, See what happens ~
Some poor bastard is going to be processing a lot of refunds tomorrow…
or some clever bastard is getting a nice big interest free loan for 4 weeks.
I watch his videos on youtube
If you're referring to the American bloke that works on a lot of Apple products I don't believe this store is connected to him
It's Rossman, Louis Rossman, I believe.
Yeah isn't his company Rossman group?
@Sammy Boi: Rossman Repair Group not Rosman Computers
@Sammy Boi: Yep, and he is American, so don't think he will have a little shop in OZ lol
I can only dream haha, not going to add another pointless refund to the list of whoever's job it will be to refund everyone though.
In bird culture this is considered a dick move.
In any culture.
Ordered one, hopefully they do ship it
ah… forgot to use paypal…
Ah, Rory Mercury's VA in your avatar <3
Hi Mio :)
GST $13 not included.
The $13 is included in the $128. I paid $128 plus $15 so $143 total.
Same, ordered without thinking. This is ozbargain. Lol
I hope they send everybody the cases without the drives in them :P
I would advise against ordering, especially using PayPal as seller will most likely incure paypal transaction fee even after issuing refund.
Somehow I doubt any of the people attempting to obtain these care
They may even throw in a holiday with your purchase!
Yeah too old for this now
Surely this will be honoured
Don't call me Shirley
ordered one lmao
Considering these are $518 at Harvey Norman, it might seem like they did a typo and was meant to be $428 and not $128.
More likely $528, since they list the 10TB for $428!
https://rosmancomputers.com.au/wd-elements-desktop-10tb-hard…
Did a little more searching and comes up as $430-435 at a range of computer stores.
It looks like their products/prices are generated in a feed which is pulled from the manufacturers/suppliers and Western Digital had incorrect pricing.

The amount of money PayPal makes from price error's must be astronomical, since they keep their fee regardless of the refund.
They only keep the base fee, which is 30c
Whatever the amount, it all add's up.
It's 30c plus 2.9% of sales www.ozbargain.com.au/node/484156
'When you issue a full refund via the transaction page, PayPal refunds you the 2.9 percent fee, but not the 30-cent fee. Taking the $30 sample order from the previous section, if you issue a full refund PayPal will return 87 cents of the original $1.17 fee.'
@JD9151: T&Cs are now
Commercial Transaction refund fee
18.16 If you issue a refund (partially or fully) of the Commercial Transaction payment, there are no fees to make the refund, but we will retain the full amount that you originally paid us. Your buyer’s account will be credited with the full or partial refund amount of the Commercial Transaction payment and your account will be debited with the full or partial refund amount.
Commercial fee is 2.6%+fixed fee (fixed fee is $0.30 in AUS)
@Trance N Dance: Yep you're right my bad. They obviously snuck that back in sometime last year very dodgy.
Damn, if that's true paypals just made, and this business has lost nearly $5,000.
@Jenny Death: Congrats OzBargain, your greed and stupidity may have just killed a small business.
As much as I want to, I will pass. They are a small shop and it's already hard for biz to survive Covid.
Respect
They are not a "small shop". Rosman Computers has one physical location but they are a part of Leading Edge Computers who have well over 100 stores. Most of their business is online.
Even the smallest computer store that's not a part of a major distribution chain makes a fair bit of money and if there's one business that has thrived through covid-19, it's been computer stores.
Leading Edge Computers is just a branding/supplier franchise. They don’t own or run this computer shop and this comment makes no sense. Them being part of a franchise has nothing to do with anything.
It makes perfect sense. By your logic Dominos pizza is a small business.
Rosman Computers isn't just some tiny brick and mortar store, it's part of one of the largest retail groups in the country. Leading Edge aren't just a 'branding/supplier/franchise', they are a global company who have direct trading with the top suppliers in the country as well as distribution.
Leading edge aren't a franchise, they buy franchises and have all the connections with all the bells and whistles. Their computer subdivision rolled over Dick Smiths among others. You have got to be doing pretty damn good to be a part of them.
Won't do it. Would love a drive at that price, but not going to hurt a small business (even if it's only 30c :p )
Respect
My wife always tells me not to be bothered about potential price errors and I’m like, “No, I must still try it, just case, or maybe even a voucher!”, but seriously, small store making a price error, no way it’s going to happen. I’m not buying this.
I'd pounce on this if it was Amazon but I have 0 faith they'll ship any of these. No point wasting my time and also their money.
Was about to say the same thing. People placing orders despite knowing it's an obvious price error that could hurt a small business, deserve an uppercut.
no stock + price error + small computer shop
