[WA] Lockable Carpark/Carspace Bollard $4.78 @ Bunnings, Joondalup

620

I had to share this one, for the sheer hell of it. It’s such a niche special :D

tl,dr: It’s a lockable bollard.

Bolt it to the entrance to your warehouse, office, parking space, or car park. and keep our those unwanted vehicles. Painted yellow, with reflective red banding, it includes three keys, and folds flat to the ground when unlocked.

Perfect for those with things to protect, or others who want a bollard for the sheer hell of it.

About 20-30 in stock when I spotted it this afternoon, and doubt these will be running out the door.

They drive cars where your from ?

      • Don't worry Adelaide should catch up and get them in 5-10 years

    • +2

if you space them 30cm apart you should snag yourself a postie.

    Geez this seems cheap.
I used to spec these to carpark projects and they'd set us back $100 minimum

yeh even $10 std price is cheap

      • +5

Nah man these days you can get STD for free

  • thanks OP!
going to go my bunnings for this.

even at full price, i'd be happy to buy this to protect my trailer

  • does it come with the masonry fixings?

    • There is a bag of bolts in the photo so I’d say yes.

  • gosh, im actually in the market for 2 of these! wish my local bunnings in nsw had them for this price!!

  • What are the other possible uses in a domestic situation?

    • +2

Protect boat/trailer from being stolen. Could also use it to block a gate from opening.

        Protect boat/trailer from being stolen

It depends on the bollard wall thickness and type of trailer. I knew a guy that thought it would work but it didn’t. He has no idea if the trailer was damaged because he never saw it again, but he had a busted bollard in his driveway.

I don't think it'll beat determined planned theft, I imagine a sledgehammer or 4WD bullbar will knock one over with a bit of noise/effort.

It's more for stopping opportunist nitwits from parking in your assigned private car space all the time.

    • You could wrap it around their head, but you'd probably be up for murder or some such.

    • If you want to install a solar battery in a garage, then a bollard is mandatory. That being said, this looks like a fence post.

  • You are meant to install it in your bad neighbour’s driveway in the middle.

  • Even the old price seems too cheap

  • Anyone know if nationwide

Buy a handful, install them across the motorway at 2am in the morning & watch the world burn.

Well, I thought it was funny.

Glad someone did. Clearly people don't have a sense of humor.

  • Perfect to protect your rubbish bin from your neighbours.

  • I read it as buying one to use at the Bunnings carpark.

  • Need this here in VIC for that price!!! Ugh
