Edit okay looks like all refurb to me , can get same prices here http://www.electronicdeals.net.au/index.php with negotiation and they might actually deliver before christmas unlike cotd

    • anyone bought one of these factory refurbished TV's before?

Also does this electronic deals place ship interstate? it didn't say on their website.

      • Not sure about shipping although i have talked to them about getting it delivered in NSW and no problem. Also they offered me extended warranty up to 5 years 299, although thats pretty standard anywhere. I would recommend to extend the warranty of any refurb if you can!

  • They are factory refurbs.

          It's Sorny, Panafonics, and Magnetbox.

    • short answer, yes

  • "These units have been professionally factory refurbished. You'll find they are in "As New" condition, and while some may have very minor scratches/blemishes on the bezel/housing, the displays are perfect and provide AMAZING image quality"

    …AMAZING ahehe… "refurbished" bleh

Personally I don't think you can put a value on 2nd hands ('as new' items), especially without historical information behind each unit. I can't see how this is a bargain.

I'm looking for a basic home theatre setup, I have a media centre plugged into the tv and was wondering what would be the best way to hook it up? It has 1x hdmi being used at the moment for video/sound to the tv, would I need a receiver to split the audio and picture? Any units on COD that can do what I'm talking about?

Sorry for the noob question, home theatre isn't my strong point.

    • What's with the negs? Just because you don't like COD doesn't mean you have to neg a legitimate question :/

Avoid buying expensive stuffs from COTD..you might have headache if there is a warranty problem.

  • +4

Not really a bargain considering they're refurbs.

  • +1

Typical Catch-of-the Day. Catch by name, Catch by nature. Today's Catch - refurbed items compared to brand new retail price.

  • +2

Considering you can get a brand new Panasonic 50" 1080p Plasma from Myer for $799
These refurbished prices + ridiculous shipping are not a bargain

  • My friend has been waiting 31 days for his monitors from COTD, buy at your own risk.

(And yes he's tried contacting them multiple times and received nothing but a generic response).

    • I am that guy and COTD Are a pack of fking crooks. NEVER deal with them. They still won't even give me an idea of when I'm going to get them.

  • COTD looks like got some sort of deal with channel 7 today tonight, been reported so many times, but i've never really saw any good bargain from there.

  • These prices are expensive for refurbished obsolete product - you can buy this years comparable models brand new for about the same price.

Also still waiting for my headphones from COTD - should have waited for logitechshop!!

  • NO Deal!!

  • horrible prices
