Nice one! I just might buy it at that price. The old price I always felt was too high for a game which is essentially an expansion pack of an originally free (bundled) game.
The multiplayer alone was worth the old price, much more than an expansion pack. Great buy at this price, despite our currently crappy dollar.
It is only an expansion in the sense that any game sequel is an expansion. The first was more of an experiment, the second is a complete game in its own right.
It could be considered an expansion in the sense that the game engine is exactly the same, graphics are the same, only the content has changed. Most sequels contain all-new game engines, or at least new/improved graphics.
It uses an updated graphics engine :) In many aspects it's vastly ahead of Portal 1.
It also contains new co-op mode, and the single player is far better than many other single player only games.
If I weren't completely useless at puzzle games I'd buy this :( Could never finish the first one which shows how crappy my skills are
The second one is generally much easier, but you'll get more out of it if you've finished the first. If you're stuck I recommend getting hints or a walkthrough - normally I hate cheating but for Portal it's worth it. Then buy Portal 2!

Let's all talk about how awesome we are even though we needed to cheat to get through the game.
I cheated all the way through that game, and it was still an awesome game.
And still found it a bit tricky. Must have taken me close to 10 hours+.
But I must admit, at times I got distracted laughing at GladOS's taunting.Is it really that hard to believe I didn't need to cheat or get help? Not sayin' that I'm awesome, after all I expect many others have done just the same. It's not rocket surgery.

What's the multiplayer like on this game? Are they just co-operative, or can you actually go against each other too? Also, won't it get boring really quickly if you can only play the same few maps over and over again on multiplayer?
