  • The usual cheap entry but paintballs cost an exorbitant fee

  • I'm a little confused, how much do paintballs cost? Or is this a place where you can bring your own stuff?

    • They won't let you bring your own balls, they need to steal your money somehow. Worse than dodgy coupon sites i'd say !!!

  • This is a gimmick!!! You aren't saving much at all, especially given ludicrous prices on paintballs. If you want to fall for this @$#@, be my guest, remember you need more than one entry and the big $$$ you will spend will line the pockets of overseas traveler hustlers :(

cheap paintball entry is like free razor blade handles….. :)

  • Seems to vary slightly depending on venue but one of them was

    $20.00 per 100 paintballs
    $85.00 per 500
    $160.00 per 1000
    $280 per 2000

    sigh not again.

  • I don't understand. with other places, there'll be an entry fee i.e $50 then you'll have to pay for the paintballs anyway? Or is it usually included.

    • The times I've played it's a variation of pay $100/$150 or however much (it's been a while) and get gear, paint marker and 100/200 paintballs and buy more if you run out. Charging for entry is just a sales gimmick unless it's a venue that will let you bring your own paintballs, then that's how they make money.
Some places will provide lunch in sausage sizzle form, differs from place to place.

$1 lunch sounds ok - give the paintball bit a miss.

  • I believe though am unsure that this is the one where you 'go bush' aka you go into the bush for the venue

  • Sorry rep, but i really HATE these deceptions and this $1 seems more like a promo. Not really a bargain, as these deals are always being offered frequently.

I've lost count how many times these paintball reps come to our uni and convince other students that they'd only have to pay $75 for these vouchers that will cover 10+ people and they'd save about $275 - they don't tell you that the balls cost at least $50 for 150-200 balls.. which is never enough anyway and because of this, you end up paying WAY more than you imagine…..and so do your mates.

Luckily there are people here who already know better…=S

Does anyone know any reputable paintball fields in Sydney that don't do this kind of dodgy marketing? I'd be really interested to hear recommendations.

  • It says the normal pRice is$45. So that's $45 without any paintballs. Seems expensive normally.

How about a bunch of us pay $1 and turn up but buy no paint balls, just hit up the cheap lunch?
That's the only way this shit is even close to a bargain.

    • +1

Not worth your time. They might give you half-sided sandwich as in 7-eleven or some cheap "whatever and chips"

Paintballs are not included in this offer
The 1st 200 Paintballs must be pre-purchased for each player at the time of booking to secure the date.$50 per 200 paintballs online, $50 per 200 paintballs over the phone.

$1 Paintball Gets You Entry and Lunch

    $1 gets you nothing…..

    • Very good point…
So the "deal" is $51 then.

  • The MoP guys strike deals with paintball fields that are separately owned and operated. You will often get a better deal by going directly to those fields and skip the middle man.

If you can get deals for around $100 per 1000 balls you are doing OK. Like a few of the guys say, you'll shoot more than you think.

If you are going out to a field, try and negotiate at booking time for a deal on paintballs - you might get lucky.
