Noctua NH-D14 $107.99 Delivered via Newegg

410

Sells for 89.99 + $9 tax + $9 delivery. Might be some delayed delivery (says 3-5 days) but I'm not in a hurry.

Amazon has it for $128.37 delivered from US (if you have prime): https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00MZ2M3MO/?coliid=IOA1KMB91R3F…

Much cheaper to buy from Noctua, shipped from Taiwan than from Newegg US. Maybe some more deals to be had:

Am4 bracket needs to be bought seperate?

    • Only if it's seriously old stock

      • +3

Don't they (Noctua) normally sends you one for free if you request?

I don't know, I just heard from others saying so…

        • +1

You need both your original cooler receipt and either a motherboard or CPU receipt.

I applied one for one recently and it took 2 weeks for them to ship the mount and it's estimated it will be 2-4 weeks on top of that before it arrives.

        • +1

Yep, you just need a receipt for the cooler and either motherboard or CPU

        • +2

No need for any receipt. Send photo of your motherboard & noctua cooler with your name and the date on a piece of paper.

  • Thanks OP. I canceled my order for the "NH-D15 CPU Cooler Chromax Black" $160.99 from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/542613 and bought this instead.

  • Do you guys reckon it is a worthy upgrade over my 11 year old dual fan NH-U12P SE?

    • +1

I personally wouldn't upgrade. I have the 14 on a 4790k and I kinda regret it haha. My CPU runs stone cold, even with a slight oc, so clearly the cooler is overkill. The 14 is so massive it makes accessing anything near the CPU a big pain.

    • Depends on you CPU and how much you can or want to overclock it.\

The D14 & the D15 are seriously large & heavy beasts, so keep that in-mind before buying one.

    • +1

It's overkill unless you're considering overclocking the CPU.

That being said, I've been using it for 11 years and it's a beast.

  • why not get one of the watercooling AIO kits. Looks neater, cooler and effective.

Dont have a giant as metal heat sink sticking out of your cpu

    • Which AIO are you comparing this to/do you recommend?

    • +5

AIO looks cooler, but many tests show these coolers provide the same cooling performance.

You still need to get the heat out of your case, if your case cooling is crap then AIO is far superior.

Downside is you would be crazy to ship:transport a computer with this installed, where generally speaking transporting with AIO is fine

      • Yeah it weighs about a kilo. My computer has had this attached for over 7 years and has been in the car alot, no issues with the mobo cracking or sagging.

Just gotta be smart and lay the computer when it needs to move

      • +1

I've got a D15 strapped to my cpu and I've moved many a times with no problems. Just gotta be smart, either lay the case down so that the cooler is upright or shove soft stuff into the case like clothes or airpacks to support the weight if keeping it standing up.

Back then having an industrial sized head sink was the beez knees. Now it's all LGBT lights, how times have changed.

There's no replacement for simplicity, this works just as good as dual or even triple fan reads, without the risk of leakage or pump failures. Shit my D14 ran for months without a fan no problem

      • I didn't get gay lights with mine.. :(

    • I don't think any AIO can outperform this thing unless the included radiator is roughly the same size.

  • Just shows you how much of a margin local vendors are slapping onto these both here and in the US…

  • It's a bit smaller, but the NH-U12S seems like a great deal at $76.99 (excl. shipping) too.
