Cosmetic Xboxes serve no purpose,(but hay power to you if it's your thing) if it was a ssd upgrade that electronic boutique were offering with some partnership with microsoft then hell yeah I'd sell my current Xbox for that xbox,but microsoft has made it nortoriously impossible to install a ssd inside xbox one x,(you can externally, just plug the device to the xbox one x, and install the games they will run faster However it's much easier to install a ssd of any varient in PS4 pro.

Just looked it up. Amex deal doesn't cover preorders that are shipped after promotion period ends. Will they use the game's release date to negate it?

I ordered one. Didn't really want to spend but also don't want to regret later if this game turns out to be good.
I think this is a no brainer upgrade if you already own an Xbox One S or OG. I myself bought a One S bundle from Ozbargain late last year with a few crappy games for $250ish and you can sell the console itself for around that right now. Minus the cost of Cyberpunk 2077 itself ($50 at the very least), you're left with a much more powerful Xbox for only $100ish more.
Add that with the constant ultimate Gamepass deals which come on here (I'm stacked till mid 2022 for $70ish), and the fact that Microsoft has essentially promised all new Microsoft exclusives will also be playable on the current gen series, the value proposition is unbeatable. You can then re-evaluate 2 or so years into the Series X lifecycle to upgrade which by then there'll probably be a mid cycle refresh which is smaller/faster/cheaper/better.
This is unlike the PS5 which will have exclusive titles which cannot be played on the PS4….(but knowing me I will still buy a PS5 on launch though lol)
So do you have to wait for September to get the xbox or do you get it immediately and can download the game later?
Console arrives in a week but the game is not out until September.

I have ordered this console but I am unsure whether or not I should unbox it or unbox my Minecraft limited edition Xbox One S. I still have it sealed in box and never got around to opening it.

Cheaper to preorder from jbhifi. Sold out online but most stores have stock call your local can save on shipping + get discounted gift cards.
Another not 100% sure why purchaser here, as very happy with my S version. Good price and pretty sure I could sell it for the same price if I get buyers regret.
I preordered this morning at my local jbhifi using discounted gift cards. They had 5 in stock I was the first person to preorder one.
Cancelled my preorder after 48 hrs.
Three reasons:
ebgames stuffing their loyal customers by not allowing them to use accumulated credits.
It's just too many of these out there which seems like a tactic to get rid of them as next gen consoles will be released soon. I dont believe these will hold value.
I am not feeling too confident about the game in general. With its delays and lack of 3rd person mode putting me off.
It's sold out everywhere now, even at the Gamesmen which had it a little bit more expensive!
And is the last "custom" made Xbox one X edition, so probably will hold some value.

Dang there are some resellers buying up stock from that the gamesmen on ebay, saw a few guys buying 5 consoles (or could have been one guy buying 10) and many are already listed back on ebay for $700 lol

Any way i would rather the black console as it looks more like the old school black media player look. This Cyberpunk console look isn't for every one.

Me, I'm just happy to be getting an xbox one X at a great price as an upgrade from my S.
Considering is the last custom xbox one X, IT WILL hold price.
Lowest price on FB marketplace, gumtree and eBay is $650
As the excitement dies down i imagine it will drop back down in price in a few months. Maybe it will go back up in value 5-10 years from now if you dont open it.

I pre-ordered quite late and yet, shipping email moments ago: "Your order # is all bundled up and has just left our warehouse!" - slipped 'em a $20 for release day delivery.
Only one HDMI input on my projector means I might be Gumtreeing this Xbox set (not unboxed) if I can't find an USB3-based HDMI raw/uncompressed capture card with acceptable latency, or considering an USB/5v-powered HDMI switch box if can find one that does Picture-in-Picture free of lag; a 5.1 A/V Receiver is not out of the question come to think of it.
Hmmm didn't impulse buy and kind of regretting it…
Hoping this will result in a slight but noticeable increase in the number of used regular XOX units on the secondary market… really wouldn't mind picking one up on the cheap.

A heads up. At setup of the console, or more specifically on initial Adding of your Xbox/Live account, if you done opted to Decide later to claim your "Digital Direct" entitlements [this Xbox comes with, i.e., Cyberpunk and Game Pass Ultimate (additional to any existing $1 trial??)], in order to redeem 2077 I had to go to the inconvenience of Removing then re-Adding my account on the Xbox (Settings>Account>Remove accounts, and doing so doesn't interfere with your game installs, cloud saves, and downloads are not interrupted - it's fine.)
Post setup, there was no "Settings>Account>Included with this Xbox" menu item. And there was no "My games & apps > Full Library > Console offers" to see your offers. So there, my forewarning.
Also, interestingly, Limited Edition bundle or bungle, it really seems like we're given, presented with which to Claim, two copies of the licence for Cyberpunk 2077, therefor it may be possible to assign them to different accounts!?
I noted that I had 2 claimable copies as well - anyone else have this and know more about it/if it actually functions as a 2nd copy?
I know I'm not anyone else or do I have much of confidence to add for what to be without present/future caveat, but anyway I had gone ahead and signed into a friend's account on this Xbox of mine, claimed remaining "Available" digital licence ("Included" twice) for "Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Bundle" with seeming "Success!" but little fanfare - meaning the busy dude hasn't gotten back to me to confirm whether or not the game appears on his own console or in game library - as for me it does show up on my console and in My Games via the xbox website. (I don't want to sound like I'm pushing him for praise, bar a thanks.) I suspect that we do indeed now have registered a distinct copy each and shall reflect so on any machine we log into using our respective accounts.
I don't want to encourage this just because we're not presenting any issues right now, but down the track…?

i loved the xbox custom consoles, i had the star wars r2d2 which made sounds when it started up. something playstation needs to do some day. anyone know if this console has any special start up sounds?

I think the gears one looks cleaner I have it and am tempted as well but I think this one's a bit more out there and for some people that's awesome but I like the clean look of the ice and all the laser cuts
