        You gotta be careful too if you're a Gmail user.

        When the 12 months is up and you're storing more data than the free tier allows (15GB), you have to pay for the storage ($2.49/month) or delete your excess files otherwise you risk not receiving any more emails in your Gmail account.

    This offer has been out for ages, it has been on the last 3 chromebooks I have used - I wouldnt really consider it a "deal", and it is only for 12 months before you get hit with never ending charges.

          Awesome battery life, does everything I want it to do during the day, and is as light as…

          Yeah it's tied to the Google Universe, but so what? Cheap as chips and very functional!

        I have an existing account no more than 6 months old and it tells me my 1st hand purchased from a retailer Chromebook says ineligible.

          Have you purchased Google One before? If so you won't be able to claim this freebie. You claim it on a new gmail account though then just add yourself as a family member.
