        64gb storage! LMAO

        • LMAO, 64GB is enough for MOST people because they are recording or storing 4K Ultra HD videos and images on their tablets, nor are they installing Call of Duty, so LMAO, its a budget device, with reasonable storage, and without even looking at the specs, I bet its has a micro sd slot that can allow the addition of 128 or 256GB minimum, so LMAO, no………….

@Aus Falcon: Actually, looks like it doesn't have an expansion slot, in which case, buyer beware. sure 64GB is fine, but don't expect to install too many games and apps on it.

  • Need to get one of these Chromebooks for my kid's primary school BYOD program. Would this or the Lenovo be better? https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-ide…
Was leaning towards the Lenovo with the MediaTek Kompanio 520 2.5 GHz 8 core and 128GB storage.

Yeah 4GB might be sluggish, but the step to 8GB is almost double the price or too heavy at 15.6'.

    • I don't know about your kids by my we got my son a Chromebook which was the Ideapad flex 5 (model #13MIL05) and it weighs 1.35kg and even then with all the other stuff they have to carry daily I felt bad for not looking around for something lighter like the Lenovo Duet (11" as opposed to 14" but 2k resolution) but at the time I think there was a chip shortage or something and there wasn't much stock in stores where i could weigh tablet+keyboard as I was pretty sure the tablet was 500 grams not tablet+keyboard.

I'm in the same boat with my daughter now and I'm definitely getting something a bit faster whether its RAM/CPU etc as 4GB didn't seem to cut it, even my son was complaining the Chromebook is too slow to do anything.

      • I looked at the Duet 3 and it seemed way too small and flimsy with the detachable keyboard. Figured anything touch screen will have higher chance of mechanical issues down the road too.

Our options here are limited - we don't seem to get the Flex 5 anymore :(

Would be interested to hear what you lean towards. All the 14' are 768p except for the $647 Asus which is even heavier.

8gb minimum. Also 1366 x 768 resolution makes it hard to fit all content into screen (imagine your kid scrolling on each page just to read the bottom 4 lines). Many websites like Mathlatics (which schools use) are designed to work on 1920x1080 resolution.

    No it's not.
