UPDATE (04/06): The discount code bug has been fixed and now the EPP prices are also stacking with the $50 Samsung Newsletter offer. So the effective prices are now - Samsung Galaxy S20 5G 128GB $946.83, S20+ 5G 128GB $1046.58, and, S20 Ultra 5G 128GB $1279.33. Getting close to irresistible now, Haha!!

The Samsung EPP store prices are even better now with an Extra 5% EOFY offer on top of existing 30% discount on EPP portals for Galaxy S20 models!
"Save an extra 5% on our mobiles, tablets, wearables and accessories*. Offer ends 05.07.2020 Additional discount will be applied in the cart and is off EPP discounted price." This basically takes the prices to lowest ever for the S20 5G series!

[Note: All these devices support Dual Sim (via eSim). Also, it appears that you can't double dip this offer with $50 Samsung Newsletter Vouchers - So it's better value to use the $50 newletter if you are after the S20 4G 128GB model.]

        • The idea of a telephoto lens on a camera is to take photos. If the image is blury it's not really usable.

As for 8k, you're right, not many devices can utilize this. But the difference of 4k > 8k in most situations isn't worth the extra storage and/or costs associated with it.

Still, it's a great phone and the sensor is great for low light as well.

The telephoto lens is very usable Out to about 30 times. The photos are very good and very postable/sharable. After 30 times, the extra capability is great for non-postable use, such as telephotoing in on signage and small print at a distance. That is stuff I do for my benefit, not to post to the world, unless people are interested in the ingredients in a packet of twisties for example taken at a distance. I was just to lazy to get off my desk chair and walk to the sofa where the empty packet was laying.

Agreed, but for the small few among us who own 8K displays and TVs etc, it is a welcome feature. I am happy with 4K

  • Happy to assist (for free) with my rebel EPP

    • Keen, how do we do this?

Before another totally unsupported Exynos vs Snapdragon poo-throwing starts, could you please read the actual differences between the two:

The difference in real life is actually quite substantial:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srR3l1CystY

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63T5lrDivn8

I've got an S20+ Exynos and the battery life is particularly disappointing. Also it stutters and slows down far more noticeably than my previous S10 Snapdragon variant did.

Seriously considering replacing it with a Poco F2 Pro..

      • where did you get your sd s10

btw i bought s9 in hk, high disappointing experience with no b28 cellular at home is slower than last phone i had

        • I got it from MyMobile.com.au in about May 2019. Wasn't that impressed with them TBH, took about 3 weeks to get to me. But the phone ran flawlessly and I sold it earlier this year when I got the S20+ in the first Samsung EPP deal.

      • I've got an S20+ Exynos and the battery life is particularly disappointing

I've got an S20U Exynos and the battery life is excellent

        • And what are you comparing it to? With a 5000mah battery it should be a two-day phone with no hesitation.

          • @xyron: And what are you comparing it to?

I am only comparing to my own specific needs/wants/desires from a mobile phone. The s20u is exceeding them.

With a 5000mah battery it should be a two-day phone with no hesitation

It would be if I chose to turn off the fancy features and make the handset perform the same as a lesser capable device. i.e. no 5G and not 120Hz screen refresh rate. But I choose to turn those features on, as I get a benefit from them, and I am able to achieve excellent battery performance. Sure I could get the handset to last longer on a charge, but then I would forego the enhanced features that makes this handset a standout compared to so many of its contemporaries

            • @dechah: Fair enough. That puts a real big asterisk around your use of the word "excellent", then - just so that nobody is misled by your statement.

              • @xyron: Yes, I am only speaking for myself and my own experience.

One more thing I forgot to mention, I am loving the "super fast charging". The rate of battery recharge is a delight

The price looks tempting but my Note 8 is still going strong and will not die ….. Will wait for S30

    • +3

I doubt the next will be S30….

I'd bet on S21 (going with years)

      • s21 reminds me of sd821

    • Same sentiments over here. Might wait at least another year or so before upgrading and keep the note 8 as a back up.

      Though I am considering a tab s6..

  • Doh, just bought the S20 Ultra 5G two days ago :(.

    Lovely phone though!

    • return within 14 day if you are fuzzy

      • Not worth the messing around for ~$60…

      • hard to return if the phone has been used. I think the condition is the package has to be unopened.

        • really. is this the case for ipad bought from apple store as well. I am planning on trying it to seee how it goes, haven't bought an iPad for a long time.

  • i was about to hit myself in the nuts for buying a s20+ 4G a few weeks ago, then i saw it didnt stack with the $50 so my nuts are saved

      • I might have to now that it stacks now

        • wait really, it stacks

          • @[Deactivated]: But the prices have increased on the epp portal anyway as its no longer 30% off only 20%, plus the extra 5% bonus atm. even with the $50 newletter coupon prices are up

You could buy this for the same price

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Asus-ROG-Phone-2-Gaming-128GB-51…

apart having 5g it's CPU is 2.96, with huge 6000mah battery and 120hrz with 8gig of ram or 12.

It also only have 2 camera, older generation of snapdragon, lower ram (vs 12GB), less warranty (6 months vs 24 months) etc. It adds up.

      • -2

Snapdragon that's over clocked to 2.96, and 6000mah battery with oled screen and 120hz, ah forget it I'm aware of I'm replying to know.

discount doesn't apply when i try to buy Samsung care :(

  • Sorry for reposting this, but I thought I might get a better chance at someone seeing it and replying.

I'm trying to apply the $50 newsletter code, and it seems to reject it, saying "The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions."

I think this is because the EOFY discount is being automatically applied already, and only 1 discount can apply.

Has anyone actually found a way to un-apply the EOFY code so that the $50 code can be used?

  • stack with $50 code?

    • +1

No it doesn't stack, and in fact, it is blocking the use of the $50 code, because the EOFY code automatically applies, with no way of un-applying it.
So effectively the $50 code has been invalidated and can't be used from here on, until its stated 22 June expiry.

      • Samsung ecommerce team are pretty unhelpful too. When I tried to describe this issue to them, they simply said that the educational store already has a discount applied, so discount codes are only for promotional gear like headphones, chargers, etc, not for further price discounts. Which we all know this isn't true.

If you can, call up or contact Samsung so that this can hopefully be resolved by someone that manages the website, otherwise they're just going to pretend this isn't a problem and hope it goes away.

        • +3

Just went on live chat for the last 40 mins and finally they were able to fix this so I was able to get the 5% plus the $50 discount - you should give it a try too now.

          • @sonder: Can confirm going online and through checkout, the 5% + the $50 does now stack

            • @Schumi5: Thanks guys, I emailed the promo/online store team too and they said they fixed it. It works now.

Samsung support is really hit and miss, depends on if you're lucky enough to get the right team or person.

  • Is the Ultra 5G 512GB included in this sale? I noticed it had come back into stock over the past couple of weeks, although is now out of stock again.

  • What is the fingerprint sensor like on these new ones?
I have Galaxy S10 5G and after all the updates, it still is much inferior to any other phone I have used in the past.

    • I also have the same phone , never had any problem with fingerprint sensor , try to remove screen protector if you're using and register fingerprints again. Hope it helps.

    • Also ensure Touch Sensitivity is switched on in Display settings - suitable for use with screen protectors

    • Why is the S20 5g showing 1199 to me? Any ideas?

      • It has already been mentioned by multiple people above mate. It has something to do with Blue colour variant - try the Grey one and you should be fine.

        • Thanks mate

  • Can confirm that at checkout the 5% + the $50 now stack.

  • Hi. Can anyone help me with an email address to access Samsung EPP site for the S20 deals?

  • Must. Resist.

    Tab S6 Wi-Fi 128GB comes to $680.83 with the 5% off + $50 coupon code. That's a great price!

    • Are there any other tablets on offer? I am looking for Tab A.

    • Is this with EPP or education store?

  • Can anyone send me a PM with a screenshot of the 946 price for the S20 5g Gray colour? Will help with my price protection. I bought from them earlier so my code doesn't work any longer for the screenshot.

  • Anyone else having issues receiving the $50 Samsung Newsletter Voucher? I was told it should take 15 to 30 mins. Been over a couple hours now and still no luck.

Have opened the phone and started using it.

Any way i can claim that 5% offer now?
Bought via AMEX Essentials card (no annual fee)

    • Nope, don't think you can do anything about it.

Rule no 1- Stop looking for deal for the item u purchased since it will always go down and makes u sad 😛

  • So guys, Can i register an account using my secondary school child's email address & get these discounted prices?

    • Should be OK

    • Yes I used my primary school kid's one that was given to us for covid homeschool lol

    • Thanks guys .. yeah signed up ..and can see the offer
another question .. the only difference between S20 5G and S20+ 5G is the screen size?
or others as well (e.g. 5G bands?)

  • Heads up that the Samsung A71 is also discounted @ $498.08 - $50 = $448.08.

I bought it the other day at the previous price. Have to say I'm quite impressed with it.

Can anyone send me a PM with a screenshot of S20+ 4G 128GB Gray colour on EPP?

  • can i get an emaail address to access the epp store plz? i still cant understand how you guys are accessing it

  • can anyone recommend a good case for the phone?

  • I can't seem to get the S20 5G 128GB for $946 as stated here by OP, it's $1089.24 for me. It does seem strange as this is more expensive than the S20+ 5GB 128Gb model.Thinking this is a mistake.

    • Change colour to gray.

If you can do me a favour and pls send me a screenshot with the 946 discount for the s20 5g as pm. It will help with price protection. Thanks

      • Just tried this, didn't work and still shows as $1,199.20 full price and $1,139.24 with 5% discount and so $1089.24 with $50 off. I think I'm leaning towards the 20+ anyway.

        • Interesting…I had the same issue and was pointed out that I selected blue. The moment I selected Gray it showed me the right price… Maybe price has gone up

      • Also comments below seem to confirm this

  • +3

    PRICE HAS CHANGED!!!

    • Yes, that's bizzare

  • Patiently waiting for next gen Note :(

  • +1

Can confirm prices have gone up

    Gov EPP Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 128Gb $1,699.15
    EDU Store Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 128Gb $1599

  • Prices have gone up…I had an order placed but forgot to add the Samsung Care+ (50% off when ordered with a handset).
Spoke to an online agent who said I can only add the special 50% off Samsung Care+ if I cancel and re-order.
During the reordering process the prices jumped $300 for an S20+ 5G!
They said I would need to call the Samsung after-sales tomorrow at 9am to try and reinstate the order at the old prices

  • In regards to the prices going up, this happened to me during checkout.
I was expecting my total to show $849 for an S20 4G and all of a sudden it was in the $970+ range. So I sent an email to complain about their pricing because it showed the offer was available till 30.06.2020.

Maybe you guys can send an email as well?

    [email protected]

I had the same issue 4-5 days ago when I was trying to purchase the S10 for around $745.

    • I had luck with contacting [email protected] as it seems they look after these promotional codes being applied on the website.

  • the original discount before a few hours ago was 30%.. its now been lowered to 20% plus the extra 5% off….

    • no wonder I keep seeing different price…..

      • yeah i was going to return the s20+ 5G i purchased 3 days ago and get a new one at a cheaper price…

  • It could be another website bug (hopefully) - probably systems caught off-guard with unexpected sales surge! Anyways, no harm in spamming customer support to confirm/reinstate the original offer pricing. Meanwhile, for anyone sitting on the fence, good reminder to grab a deal when it's available than to overthink and regret missing out on it. "Buy now think later" is the time tested OzB mantra for a reason. Haha..!!

    • +1

Oh yes, happened twice in a week. Missed out on the S10 for ~$745 and missed out on the S20 for $849.

  • +5

    I've just chatted them:
Samsung: Thank you so much for your patience. It seems the price was adjusted without prior notice, can you please try checking the website later after an hour or two?
Me: Does that mean it is also a surprise to you from your end?
Samsung: Yes, I sincerely apologise. We currently don't have access to Samsung Education store. It's being handled by our Marketing Team. Kindly check later I'll raise it to my supervisor so they can communicate with Marketing Team as soon as possible
