Are these just solid aussie dollar deals?

    • +2

      I think you’re correct.

      AUD 0.70 > 1 USD and growing.

What’s the warranty around amazon US?

  • quality 2070 Super

I wouldn't be too sure about that, I considered this one on my search for a 2070S but all the reviews I found said it ran hot and loud. Coincidentally it's also an almost identical cooler to the MSI 5700XT MECH OC which I have just returned for running loud as shit and hot as shit, I'd avoid and spend the extra $100 for a decent Galax card.

    • Did you purchased from Amazon? If so what was returning the card like? Wait 4 weeks/ pay for shipping out of your own pocket?

      • Amazon may provide you with a return Slip to send the product back free of charge… but if thats not the case id say you pay to send it back & Amazon pays for the return.

I would assume the replacment wouldn't take so long Amazon is generally fast with their returns.

      • Unfortunately and/or fortunately I bought it from shallothead aka one of the ShoppingExpress eBay stores. Sent it back a couple of weeks ago and should automatically get a refund by tomorrow with any luck, because of a 30 day money back guarantee which appears to be all automated through eBay. Didn't have to pay postage, it was through sendle I believe?

    • Huh, Ive been running this card since Christmas and have had absolutely no issues, it's quiet under load and the only time it gets moderately loud is wduring startup when the fans run at full speed, other than that it's almost silent and I have great temps

How much did you pay in December?
I’m trying to decide if this is a good deal or not.

        • These got as low as $600 a couple times, and were regularly around $650.

    • Techfast is replacing my MECH because of exactly that. It is now A-tier according to LTT's tier list so it seems MSI got their shit together, I don't think Ventus is that bad.

  • Should have copped the 699 PCCG special

  • Does shopback work for this?

Next quarter both AMD and Nvidia are expected to release their new ranges.

    Consider waiting if you can

I back this comment.. I bought my ROG Asus strix gtx 1080 on sale in 2018 for $770. Exactly what reason is there to upgrade? RTX? Pffft no thanks, I'd rather push more frames on my qhd 144hz monitor. The current generation of RTX cards give no value for money over the pascal lineup imo. You see ever increasing performance for your dollar in the cpu market but we haven't seen this from Nvidia in years. Even with the desperate attempt to make them better with the 20xx super series I see no value in upgrading. You could get a basic gtx 1080 in 2016 for $700 so basically you get an 8% increase 3 years later and you have to spend about 15% more money to get it. What great value the RTX gpu's are! 🤦‍♂️ lol. Buy second hand imo and don't give Nvidia your money until they front up with some decent value: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2070S-Super…

At this rate pc master race will be dead by 2021 as console plebs can buy a ps5/new xbox with more power than this $820 card for likely less than $1000 and that includes the whole system, ssd, ram, cpu, etc. If Nvidia and AMD don't pick up their game my next gpu upgrade might just be a fricken console! Oh the horror!
