A little bit of work, but if you set up a Home Assistant instance, you should be able to control these (and like LIFX bulbs etc) through HomeKit
Thanks OP.
Really good price.
These are $28 at Amazon right now.
Is it easy to get a price match from Bunnings?
I would like to know this as well.
I have never done it.
Can I know the process? It really depends on the store & the salesperson. Some of them are pretty chilled about it, while some feel like they are paying out of their own pocket and refuse to budge.
Yes they checked umart's price and did the match no issues
also just got bunnings to price match, though they were a bit of a pain. kept asking if it was an online store, asked for phone number (which i couldnt find on umarts website) and eventually got it for $20.70
Bunnings have dropped theirs to $23 by the looks.
Can't see that online at the Victoria sites, which sites did you check?
In Brisbane - maybe because I'm close to a Umart shop…
These are quite chunky so beware
Easily the best smart plugs in Australia atm. The Tuya ones are good for the price but no local control. With these, even if you use home assistant, everything is controlled locally so it's instant.
If you flash the Tuya ones using Tuya-Convert, they then integrate with Home Assistant locally and respond instantly as well.
I recently got these and they work well with Home Assistant once they have been flashed:

I agree but then you have no warranty and you lose voice control unless you pay for Nabu Casa (or put your Home Assistant instance on the internet). I've got a few devices running Tasmota but only for devices I don't need voice control of.
Anyone know if this can track electricity usage?
Don't think so, pretty sure thats only with HS110
Yep, HS110 is the one with energy monitoring.
Officeworks price matched at $21.85 and since I need 3 then I qualify for free shipping too. Thanks OP for the reference!
the powerboard with 3 outlets might still be on sale at $59 if they are all in the same place - it's pretty decent and more compact if you;re goign to be using them nthe same place.
What to peeps use this for?
My Tv, heater, a couple of lamps that don't have smart bulbs, several outdoor lights, my monitor which never switches itself to sleep mode (a new level of lazy here)
Bought this last year for $18.9 - but $20.7 still a good price though.
Bunnings Greenacre, Lidcombe all out (quite a few empty boxes with the plug stolen).
3 left at Bunnings Chatswood.
Price match was alright.
I would love these if they had Homekit integration.
