Bialetti Venus Stainless Steel Induction 4 Cup $41.96 + Shipping or Free C&C @ Myer

280

I recently bought the 2 cup version for about $40 which I thought was a good deal. Here you can get the 4 cup version for under $42!

Easy way to make good coffee at home. This model is stainless steel which means it can be used on induction stoves, as opposed to the original model which is made from aluminium and can only be used on gas and electric stoves. Be careful with gas stoves though because you can melt the plastic handle!

Product Description

Venus is the stainless steel coffee maker whose practicality, pleasure shape and essential and functional style protray all Bialetti's experience, passion and enthusiasm coffee.

  • What is the actual cup size? I have Bialetti 4 cups but too much for one people and 2 cups look like not enough.

    • +2

lot smaller than you may think. Espresso size

I believe a "cup" of this stovetop coffee is 60mL, roughly twice the volume of an espresso.

      • I use to drink Nespresso "India" as Lungo (less milk), so may be with this 2 cups model is enough.

      • I think even smaller, more like 40ml.

I have a 6 cup version I use every day and it fills one 250ml keepcup. (I actually split it amongst 2 cups, top up with oatmilk - good strength).

We have this 4 cup and it is perfect for 2.

  • How does these coffees taste compare to coffee machines?

    • Different. Too tired to find the words for it but you can get really cheap 1-2 cup moka pots on ebay for like $10, try it out.

      • I already use a similar one..
I’m actually wondering whether or not if automatic offee machine taste any better lol

    • Moka Pot coffee is like glorious rich mud

  • is this the one that you need to monitor temp?

  • Any suggestion to froth milk like real steamer? The one from Nespresso too much froth.

    • Remove the whisking wire as that is what is causing it froth more.

      • But remove it will become just hot milk.

        • No, it will give you less froth, nearly half

          • @Navgsc: OK let me try next time, will it as creamy as steamer? Just want thick creamy not froth like using a steamer or Nespresso Creatista.

            • @superforever: I have this one and usually steer it (~3x) with my hand on its top for better/creamer result, before adding the milk to coffee.

              • @Navgsc:

I have the Nespresso one but still too much froth, I did steer it but not with my hand but still not the same.

                • @superforever: Milk frothers result will not be the same as steamers but you can get better results doing these:
                  - Remove the whisking wire
                  - Fill (at least) half the capacity
                  - Hand steer (before pouring milk to your coffee)

                    @Navgsc:

                    Remove the whisking wire

                    Milk frothers refuse to heat.

I tried the Nespresso frother a while ago without the whisking wire and found it too frothy, though I was only filling it with enough milk for one.
Now, I microwave half a mug of milk then froth with a cheap daiso handheld frother, tilting and moving it like you would with a manual steam wand.
