a single filter that rejects even more audio and video noise.

Ah that'd explain why Sky News After Dark doesn't work any more.

Is this the company that makes stupidly expensive HDMI cables and ointment to clean the HDMI connectors?

    • +3

Looks like they also make stupidly overpriced power boards as well!

I'd say the price above for the powerboats isn't stupidly overpriced but yeah, they do make a lot of fanciful crap.

    • I’m not sure mate, just check this website may be the answer is here https://monsterproducts.com.au/

    • I have a mate who believes that wrapping 1 HDMI cable around the one that is plugged in creates a better picture.

I suppose it's possible if he has severe electrical interference. The outer cable may shield the inner one. Kind of like the way my tin foil hat shields my head.

        • Not true. It's passing a digital signal. If the image is not appearing it's a problem with the cable and it should be thrown out. It's not "improving" like it may with a speaker cable or RCA cable.

    • Yeah, I'm surprised this company still exist and hasn't gone bankrupt yet. Guess there are a lot of stupid people around with too much money.

    Joules: 1836. Not that great

  • The Monster Surge Board must be used as instructed

I can't find 'the instructions', but I wouldn't count on the $750,000 warranty.

Unplug your stuff during storms (2754 joules is SFA). Also, get some sort of automatic voltage regulator, that regulates voltage and frequency. Ive been using one of 》these《 for many years.

It is only 300 joules, but should blow the fuse/ trip circuit breaker before it gets higher.

Yep, their marketing crap is so 1990's. I was hooked on all of the snake oil in the hifi industry like copper and silver cables and even rubbing anti static liquid on my cds!

But $57 seems a pretty good price if you take it for what it is rather than buy in to the "better quality" nonsense.

  • "The power in your home is subject to interference that can affect your TV picture and sound"

Don't bother me with that. I'm too busy worrying about the imminent overwhelming blast of neutrons from the expansion and collapse of a White dwarf that can utterly disrupt my metabolic processes.

Someone should maybe tell David Jones that the analogue TV signal isn't used much any more. I'm not that sure I want my sound 'noise' to be that 'cleaned up', as I suspect that this unit doen't quite have the processing power to differentiate between the 'noise' I want and extraneous signals. At best, it could make learning Xhosa just that little bit harder.

    • +1

Considering the "noise" in a digital signal is literally the same ones and zeroes as all the other signal, I don't think they can differentiate either.

  • Good luck finding stock.

  • Showing as 77 for me and can’t even add to cart.

      Consider yourself lucky.

  • Anyone know any good power boards that are available? I bought the Cyber Power ones (2 actually) from Shopping Express on eBay and I find a few of the outlets a little faulty/loose.

  • Thanks OP
