Why they use kg not Litre, so confusing.

    • Fries and chickens etc are measured in KG weight, not Litres. So you know the size capacity better e.g. 1KG bag of fries will suit easily.

Litres measurement makes sense for the Instant Pots but not an Airfryer.

except 1 kg of fries vs 1 kg chicken will not have the same volume…

        • Yeah, not everything 1kg can fit XD

      • dont mind me, just squeezing in a litre of feathers to cook in the air fryer….

Absolutely fantastic unit. I got the digital menu option for $269 from Amazon in Jan. Nothing major different just some temp presets and a keep warm/reheat option: https://gfycat.com/yellowcreamycaimanlizard

Some have complained about the text around the dial getting rubbed of after use on these units but beyond that it's a great Airfryer and recommended.

If you want to minimise cleanup, you can line the base with baking paper. It does affect the temperature flow a bit so not great for fries but may be worth it for greasy food like meats.

Get the digital $340 Costco better model
Black xxl with $50 cash back as well

  • Costco online prices usually capture final price after redemption. So th $350 is after all th discounts. Other stores might be offering the same at $400 with $50 redemption.

  • How is this kind of air fryer compare with Russell Hobbs Air Fry? Easier to clean, etc?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/540661

    • The Philips etc style of air fryers don't have windows so you have no idea what's going on in there without opening it up, losing a bit of heat and restarting. Might work when using tested recipes or pre packaged foods. My preference is to be able to see cooking progress. They also don't move your food so you may need to reposition during the cook. I'd get an air fryer with a rotating basket. The Russell Hobbs fryer has a rotisserie, but no basket, though that still has more features than this Philips unit. Can't comment on the RH's effectiveness.
