  • Looks like they're clearing out old stock. This model seems to be discontinued.

I bought it full price at costo last week :/

    • you can get a store credit if you purchased within the last 30 days.

      • I think thats US only?

        • Australia as well. I tried it before. Bought something normal price and 2 days later discounted. Get the difference back but apparently is a very complicated process that I wait them 15 min to completed the refund

          • @JCRALLYART: So I just goto costo with the receipt and ask for price adjustment?

            • @lothus777: No need, just your membership card to the refund area (exit). Computer would have all your purchase records

              • @JCRALLYART: I can concur, I did this with costco a few weeks back on a rug and got refunded for the difference and without receipt.

Just buy again and return with the higher price one

      • not if you had been been using it.

        • cant you buy another one and refund on the more expensive one with a receipt?
This is what I am being told to do with less hassle by the staff when I ask for a refund of the price difference.

On refund with the newly bought one, I just tell the staff it is cheaper now and they just refund the previous one I bought, no further question ask.

  • can you share the pdf of all coupons starting from tomorrow?

If anyone's looking for a air fryer.. HIGHLY recommend kmarts ANKO air fryer. Does the same job for $90 i think.
Ive had one for a year and still going VERY strong

Awesome. I managed to order the Kmart 5.3L air fryer today.. was showing as out of stock online but it still went through and was shipped out this afternoon. Don't be discouraged by it appearing out of stock.

      • I have been trying to order for months. It usually shows out of stock. The few times (including last week) when the sale went through it was cancelled withing 24hrs with the reason Customer cancelled which I obviously didn't. I had family members physically check in stores in other city/states still no luck. Proving very frustrating.

"Costco is taking $50 off there usual price of $419.99."
Costco is taking $50 off THEIR usual price of $419.99.
    Fixed it for you mate….

  • Aldi has a small 2.5l one on Saturday for $39

  • Why would you pay this much when you can get great Jones for $100 from Kogan. I now have 2 they are so good.

    • The Philips fryer is significantly more powerful. I upgraded from a cheapie to the Philips xxl (analogue) and it cooks much faster. If time is no issue, you are correct, the cheapies do the same job at a fraction of the price.

      • So it takes 20-22 minutes for chips and 80 minutes to roast a chicken in a kogan how long for chips in a XXL?

I just can't imagine cooking chips or a chicken any faster is a good idea. They are 1800w so they could only be 30% faster at heat up but once up to temperature they all just cycle on and off anyway.

I find the Philips does chips, nuggets and all the frozen fried stuff in 10-12 minutes. Haven't tried roasting a chicken yet though.

          • @CEO Rachel Jake: Can't use the frozen variety as I have a ceoliac (gluten free) person in my house hold so for us it's 20 minutes from cut potatoes. Frozen are or cooked so doesn't seem like much difference then. Really their couldn't be, if the temperature is the same then the only difference can be heat up time and fan efficiency. I'm happy with mine. Thanks for the reply

You'll end up throwing out the Kogan one within a couple of years as the crap non stick coating will peel and flake off in the basket, no matter how carefully you clean it.

      • Good point, and I agree after cleaning and repairing our in well oven, quality does matter, but for $100 and considering the build up of cooking deposits on the heating elements and fan I want to throw mine out every couple of years anyway.

      • Yup most of the cheap shit is exactly that. Use it for a year or two and repeat.

It's pretty disgusting really that we all accept this method.

My Kmart sandwich press got about 2 years before the coating was peeled, and that's using it for bread and occasionally sausages.

  • I've been tempted to get an air fryer for years now but haven't quite been convinced of their merits.

What am I getting from an air fryer that my regular fan forced oven can't do?

I recently bought a high end rice cooker and that's been eye opening. Someone please convince me an air fryer is worthwhile.

    • Speed.
You don’t need to preheat like you do with a normal fan force.
And somehow things cook more crispier.
Reheat croissants.. 120c for five mins , delicious

    • Our oven takes 20 minutes to preheat to 200deg C the air fryer takes around 2 minutes.

Next the air force around the food is next level. Imagine the chips are all on to of each other in the basket. The air movement is like a hair dryer so the outside chips hardly get cooked anymore than the inside chips.

Seriously buy a $100 kogan one then decide if you really need to spend $350. It what I did and I'm so happy be bought 2 for when lots of people come around…. soon I hope.

By the way out family swears by the flavour and moisture level of a air fryer chicken. The skin has never been crispier and the meat never moister, can't wait to try a duck or quail.

  • Knowing that this was sold earlier for $296.50, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/457474, hard to decide to take this price..
