Nah, can't swap the fillet, only add supercharged sauce. But as below, I don't think it's great value. Should be a regular combo for $5 as it's only $1.10 or something more than the normal price.

Agreed, the full price is actually $5.95 so you're just saving 95c if you're not getting a meal.
Extra $2.45 gives 3 reg sides - drink, chips and p&g (which can be swapped out for any reg side, including shaker salad).
Don't think a $5 burger is really worth it…
Would become a deal if you do what I do and fill out the survey for free chips and drink.
Get the 7.45 one, use the chips and drink receipt, sub the chips for a shaker salad and the drink for a coleslaw*, now you got a burger, chips, drink, 'tato gravy, salad, and 'slaw for seven fiddy.
*I know both of those count as large sides on their menu, it's very hit and and miss, but the other day when I last got KFC I got the $5 box and receipt and they were fine to sub my chips for the salad but obviously YMMV
How do you get the free chips and drink? As they've now removed the option to pay in store.
The counter staff have ability to access app-only deals, just ask, and then present the feedback voucher.
@froodh: I got told they couldn't do it on Saturday in Villawood NSW. The staff there were horrible.
@KarlDilkington: Hmm. I tried this today and the staff member said the $5 deal was app only.
I might try a different store.

Downloaded the KFC app for Android. Goes into a loop saying app needs update and send you back to the Play Store, but there is no update. Useless. Uninstall.

If it's this or a Double Crunch for a fiver, I think I'd stick with the DC.
