Same here, watched a couple of reviews and looks very nice.
I am wondering when would this set retire?
Ha yeah, a lot of people wonder if it will ever retire! It's been around since October 2011. Is there an older set than this that is not yet retired!?
Used to be tower bridge but it retired last year. Camper van would have the longest shell life. Despite the fact, it is still a popular set decent build and nice display. Iād love the old version box made it look bigger.
what old version box?

See this box. Ignore the price lol.

The 10188 Death Star from 2008 had a production run of just over 8 years before it was retired and replaced with its mostly identical successor, the 75159 Death Star from 2016, which is still in production.
Looks like the Camper Van is on track to edge it out as the longest-lived Lego set of all time.
Price back at $165 for me….
got to be quick these days! I will re-post/update the deal if brickhawk detects it again :)
appearing $165 for me
Nice! Almost got this but just scored UCS Millennium Falcon and decided that was enough for today. š
How much?
Got an email notification this morning for $1120
@Miami Mall Alien: Given they are going for $1600+ on ebay, I would have happily sunk $1120. Unfortunately by the time I woke up in Perth, stock was gone.

Story of my OzBargain tenure.
I was convinced the 75192 UCS Falcon was going to be retired sometime last year so I jumped on that $899 deal, given it launched in October 2017 and the average production run for most UCS sets is around 2 years but Lego seem to have different plans for the UCS Falcon. Sort of like the 75159 Death Star, which also seems to have no retirement in sight as it's nearing 4 years since it released and it's still in production.
I assume the price hikes for the UCS Falcon though are mostly temporary due to COVID-related supply issues (as Lego pricing has spiked across the board due to mass buying of Lego since COVID) and will probably work themselves out in a few months time.

Ozbargain standards are slippin..Cheaper one currently available?
True - it's been much cheaper. I should have posted that detail.
However in these times it seems that any discount on LEGO is enough to clear it off the shelves! In fact paying way above RRP for hard-to-find sets is the norm now.
Just bought after reading a couple of reviews. Thanks OP!
