3-in-1 Air Fryer Oven $129 @ Kmart

755

Was browsing through a new Airfryer and came across this cool gadget/airfryer/oven @ Kmart . Seems like really good value and have more than 153 5 star reviews. Haven’t used it but like a preety solid look wise (touch screen) and nice looking design unlike the bulky looking airfryer and ovens. Not sure if this one is everyone’s cup of tea bit seems like a good deal if you are not after really expensive airfryers

These air fryers are super popular, haven't seem any online or instore availability for a few weeks.

Likely bad timing from my end.

    • Airfryers have been unavailable online or for click or collect for past couple weeks but this morning I was able to order the larger one for delivery. Just need to check back every once and a while

    • +3

Order online? Free delivery on orders over $45

I didn't realise OP had specifically posted that stock was available adjacent to where you live, probably because OP assumed you'd read the website.

  • +4

I just bought one from Kmart sunnybank hills , Qld and they had about 6-7 in store even though online was showing none in stock …And spoke this chap and he was like.. even though they are not showing online in stock just Visit the store as the store may not get updated everyday ..So may try you luck visiting a store ..

  • +12

normal price - so this is an advert

    • +18

Like I said mate , I was just browsing through and came through this Cool gadget ..only posted as it looked nice budgeted deal to me and also for the people who can’t afford to buy the expensive ones…no offence to anyone ..hope this make sense ..

      • This is as much a bargain as $450 Nintendo Switch's.

        Cheers for sharing mate!

      • If this appliance is cool, you're doing it wrong…

        • +3

If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

    • OzBargain has been promoting reasonable items for reasonable prices for some time now. The only difference is that this doesn't have an inflated RRP

  • Your airfryer with the web browsing capabilities sounds much more interesting

  • +12

Sorry, pal. This is the normal price. It's good value, but not strictly a bargain.

    • +8

153 Rabid Kmart Mums will hunt you down

    • +1

Yep, listed normal price. Not a bargain.

  • None to be found anywhere either…

    • +7

Kmart's website is dodgy. A bunch of their appliances showing nil online are in fact in stock in two of my local stores (in abundance as well).

      • I was in one Kmart store when a store clerk was filling the shelves with about a dozen boxes of the 5-litre air fryer and all the stock was gone within 24 hours. Good times.

  • +4

This is a great product. It took me about two months, checking religiously every day, and managed to grab the last one in QLD at the time.

Its a great air fryer/oven. Haven't used as a dehydrator or meat rotissarie yet. The rotating basket is a great idea. I dont have an oven so this is perfect.

Alas, not a bargain as RRP. Good luck finding stock.

  • +2

I appreciate the post may not be a bargain, I have to say it looks like great value. Can anymore comment on how the dehydrator goes? Will be mainly used for jerky

    • +5

I won't be using for jerky, but I'll put it through the dehydrating functions as soon as it arrives. I've got a crate of eggplant now and will be making eggplant jerky this weekend - with my existing dehydrator(s). And rockmelon. No one but me seems to like it. I'm very excited about this product. You can probably also use it to rise yeast dough as winter is coming.

      • How did you go with the dehydrator functions?

        • Not so good by the looks of it.

  • Are these as goos as the Aldi and K-Mart Air Fryers that are highly sought after?

  • +1

Tha ks fir posting. I've been wanting to get this fir awhile. Still not in any stores in WA, but was delighted to see it was available for free home delivery. Very excited because I love both air frying and dehydrating.

  • +4

I didn’t even know this product exists and now I want it badly.

  • +2

this is amazing! I have it can confirm it's used daily ^_^

  • +1

Impossible to find. Tried three stores so far that said low stock.

  • +4

I recently bought their $129.00 Microwave Convection oven , and really surprised how good it is . Added benefit is that if it s**t's itself within the 12 months warrant period , take it back with your receipt for a full refund , no questions asked.

    • +1

      From Kmart?

    • +1

Yeah I bought this one, has a grill too. Weird thing was that during the first day of turning it on, the glass turntable kept rotating even when it wasn't doing anything. Tried unplugging it for a while and plugging it back in but it was still doing it. Was ready to take it back but it magically stopped doing it the next day!

      • +1

        You've got a Poltergeist.

        • Yeah man it was weird af!

  • +3

Thanks, been trying to get one of these for months… On the email alert but always gone, been in store many times and never there.

    • Well still didn’t get one, they just refunded as oversold.

  • +1

I recently bought the Healthy choice version of one of these from Dick smith!>>>> https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/healthy-choice-black-15l…

It's pretty easy to use except for when putting that chips rotisserie basket on and taking off is a nightmare. You gotta put your head in their and search for that one side hole, the other side is pretty easy. But it does a pretty good job with frozen fries. They came out so crispy chips after leaving in their for 20 mins! I've tried two times with Coles frozen fries 1kg bag and had to put in about three times and didn't wanna overload the basket. The best thing is you dont need to preheat it and lighting is pretty good inside and you can see it turning and check your food. It's also pretty quiete while cooking and the touch screen system works really well. Haven't tried the Kmart one though

I am not sponsored by Healthy Choice, I just wanted to do a review on one of these oven/airfryers as most people are wondering if they are worth it or not. I also wondered before buying and thought this might help someone.
I bought mine three weeks ago for $149 (without shipping) but now they are all sold out.

  • Is the air fryer in this Similar to the air fryer to the Kmart air fryer or Philips air fryer etc

  • +3

These airfryers are a little different from the $40 turbo ovens which have been around for ages.

Traditional Airfryer (not the 3 in 1)
    - smaller basket than a turbo oven
    - more intense heat due to smaller area
    - comes in a few different sizes. The Kmart 5.3l Air Fryer is $89 (normal price)

    Turbo Oven
    - can easily fit a whole chicken, pork belly (gets excellent results) or a whole roast duck (at a pinch)
    - comes with an extension ring for bigger cuts of meat
    - can cook 6 pies at the same time (if in a hurry, microwave for a few mins first before placing into the turbo oven)
    - can cook 500g of chicken niblets (coated in egg and seasoned flour) at one time in a single layer resulting in a crunchy KFC esq flavour
    - can cook a self saucing pudding
    - can cook crunchy frozen fries and make they crunchy

    • Interested in the pork belly results! Is it hard to clean after? And does it smell out the house?

    • Thanks!

Does this have ANY disadvantages over the pod shaped ones that you know of? e.g. is it slower, more likely to burn, etc etc?

  • +3

    This isn't OzProductRecommendations

  • I've been wanting this exact item for a while now, but sadly it still comes up as out of stock for me.

  • -4

Not a bargain at all. Should be a forum post/thread instead.

    • Mate , like I said in my previous comments it’s not everyone cup of tea ) it may not look a deal to you..but atleast a good deal for people who are looking for a cheaper alternate/option for airfryer ..discussion forum is a great idea too..but your saying it’s not bargain that’s your prospective . To me it’s look stellar deal as in a handy product within the price budget range ..

      • -3

No, it's not my perspective. This product is at it's standard sale price.

        bargain:
        /ˈbɑːɡɪn/
        noun
a thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected.

        • +1

Brother, you are contradicting your comments ,as per your comment you are saying everyone thinks the same way you think ? Like I have been mentioning it may not be deal yourself but for me it’s is ..same for the other people ..if you don’t like the post that’s fine no worries ..let not open the can of worms …peace ..

Hey saw this in Karrtha W.A 6714 KMART for $139 on Thursday. Went back Friday all sold out.
So thank you $129 free shipping brought online last night.
So this was $10 cheaper for me.

  • Spend your money wisely buy a Phillips xxl

    • +1

Why? Phillips is an airfryer oven, fits more and has rotisserie. Serves slightly different purposes.

  • +3

With things like this and the new stainless steel bench mixer, Kmart have actually made some decent appliances

  • +1

my dad bought one last year, he likes it and it still works. This isnt a bargain tho

  • Anyone have experience using this to dehydrate 3D printer filament?

  • +7

Somebody please clarify, this doesn't qualify as a bargain because this is the normal price? does this mean most of the homebranded ALDI special buys are not bargains either?

    • +1

Mate, you hit the nail in the head..spot on .exactly

  • +1

Don’t understand the popularity of airfryers. People swearing by them full of hot air IMO.

    • I reckon they get turned on.

    • +1

Basically a small oven that heats really fast,at least for this kmart job. Has a rotisserie in it and cheap. Personally like it because it renders fat off my pork roast on the rotisserie and get its crackling really nice at the same time. Also Bacon takes 5mins in the morning which gets me a nice breakfast to go quickly. Use it as a dehydrator for my gin condiments, list goes on. But each to their own.

  • Can anybody compare the size of this to the new Aldi 2.5L air fryer?

  • +1

I have one of these (an Ebay one because the Kmart one was unavailable) - the rotisserie basket is the only thing that gets sweet potato fries crispy (I buy the supermarket ones) other than deep frying. Love it to bits, $129 is a really good price, everywhere else the rebadged ones are $150+.

  • Not really a bargain, but it is good for the price compared to others with the same features. Kmart website doesn't always work, I know my mate has been trying to get one but has gotten a cancel email twice the next day.

  • No Stock for pick up or delivery?

    • Nope, not even in stores (empty slots).

Temporarily out of stock at two Kmart stores I went to.

  • I hate trying to shop for something with such limited stock. Is the Kogan's version (https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/kogan-12l-1800w-di…) just as good? I don't care about spending a few $$ more if they actually have stoock.

  • +1

not a reduction on the RRP but got interested and ordered one as click & collect from Kmart Carousel, there is an option if it is not available (indicated that there is 1)…. they will deliver for free in about 1 week. I also got the 8Ltr Air Fryer from Aldi for $99 and really happy with it, but interested in the dehydrator function for this one

  • +1

No online stock when I looked 2 days ago but checked again last night and there's stock available for delivery (still the case now), so now to sit back and wait for it to arrive.

We use our Philips air fryer regularly, but what I like about the idea of this Kmart one is the window (so you can see what's happening inside), and the racks/rotisserie options which I feel would give you better airflow/more even heating.

    • +2

same. ordered one online this morning.

    • +2

      Same here!

      • Did you guys get any cancellations from Kmart or confirmation of dispatch?

I just ordered one, but straight after I paid, I tried to check if any more available in Sydney and it's unavailable online again. So a bit worried it was a system glitch that I was able to buy…

        • +1

Got email saying order was cancelled as requested by customer even though i didn't cancel. Very disappointed with kmart.

          • @ChaseTheSun: I ended up getting the same cancellation email :( with money refunded in 5 business days. Very disappointed :(

            • +1

@DuckDuckGoose: I re-ordered after seeing that there was stock in some stores nearby.

And guess what, today i got email that it has been picked up by courier for delivery.

I think their stock system works like this: if nearby stores have stock, u may be lucky. if none have stock, then u get cancellation email even if u could order online.

        • +1

I got a dispatch notification and a tracking number yesterday.

          • +1

@quop: I've reordered. Feels like playing lotto.

            • @ChaseTheSun: Probably is a bit… my delivery got a bit held up by the courier but I did receive it in the end and my wife has been putting the dehydration function through its paces.

    • +3

Kmart needs a better stock system! I too looked hard for a couple days, and tried to pre-order but that was not allowed. Then suddenly there's stock yesterday online. Crazy thing is that I ordered online for free delivery yesterday afternoon, and it turned up 8am this morning

      • 100%.

I've reordered this morning after they cancelled my order due to no stock but website says there's stock near me. Lets see how this goes.

  • +1

Just spotted 3 in stock at The Pines Templestowe Vic

  • I have been looking for one of these for my MIL for MONTHS and its never been in stock!!!

  • How many kg of fries can fit in the rotisserie basket?

    • +1

Basket is not that big. I would say 1kg will fill the basket.

  • I've noticed Sydney Stores have started to restock in the last 2 days. But they sell out within the day.
I managed to grab one at Hurstville store 12pm when they had 20 in stock. Sold out by 6pm.

  • Seem to be coming back into stock.

Anyone have any ideas how to choose between this and the 5.3 litre https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/529749

    • Air fry oven for me. U can see onside and theres a rotisserie and basket.

      • does it have ANY disadvantages over the pod shaped one that you know of? e.g. is it slower, more likely to burn, etc etc?

        • +1

I'm on the Kmart Airfryer facebook page and the one thing that comes up regularly is that if you use more than one tray, the top one cooks faster than those underneath, so it may be necessary to rotate them during the cooking process. Also, there is the possibility of fat dripping from the tray above to the one underneath. People get around this by putting baking paper or alfoil on the tray first, but that can interfere with the air circulation.

I have the 5.3l unit and it's one of the best gadgets in my kitchen. Use it pretty much every night.

          • @wombat1955: My main initial use case is sweet potato wedges, which always seem to be undercooked even after 35 minutes in the convection oven. Hoping that in an air fryer this can get down closer to 15 mins, crispy, and fully cooked

            • +1

@isthisreallife22: ive managed to get crispy sweet potato fries in about 20-25 mins in the air fryer oven. For potato chips though, easy to get them crispy in 15-20 mins.

          • +1

@wombat1955: yup that is correct for the top tray.

I put foil/baking paper on the dripping tray for the air fryer oven and no issue there with the air cirulation.

            • +1

@ChaseTheSun: Yeah, that makes sense, but I was referring to fat dripping from the top tray onto food cooking on the tray beneath, not onto the drip tray.

  • About 5-10 at Burwood VIC

  • Does anyone know if this is ok to make toast or grilled open sandwiches on oven mode?

Am looking to replace the toaster oven, but if it works as an air fryer as well that's just a bonus!

  • For those who were hoping that the Aldi special on their air-fryer might pull a few of these out of the warehouse, there were two today @ Marion, S.A.

Now there is one. I'm happy - the Aldi ones they were maybe cncerened with didn't make it to marion, or were snaffled early. It's much better quality than the Woolworths non-rottisserie model I thought might compensate last March.

30 C for 24 hours is as gentle a dessicator as my kitchen will ever need. 200 C top for a fan oven is fine for what this is designed to do.
