Tempted but saw reviews before saying they received fake ones.

    • +5

These are sold directly by Amazon, while the product reviews are for all sellers. I would imagine any reviews like that were for 3rd party sellers.

      • When I lived in the US I received several fake/used products that came from "Amazon" as a seller. Amazon US had a policy of substituting identical products from third-parties warehoused in Amazon fulfillment centres for "Sold by Amazon" products and vice versa.

I'm not sure if that's the policy here too. But I'd check for fakes no matter who it's sold by.

    • At this price I got one, can always return if they look like fake ones.

    • +1

saw a post on previous thread of this same headphone, one member mentioned how to spot the fake vs original, also amazon will refund for sure if you get the fake.

I've brought a few times off or Amazon these and they are legit. Pick up another pair!!

    • +2

Why do you need so many?

      • -2

Why not!! Sound quality is pretty decent for the price range!!

        • You could get other cans for different sound signatures

      • +4

        Because he's got three heads?

    • How comfortable are they? Heard mixed reviews on that aspect. Bought a pair anyway for 45 dollars. Whether to keep or regift is the question

      • Not very comfortable, the ear pads are soft but they are still not great. I have stretched the hell out of them using tissue boxes which does help, I have a pair of hyperX and they are like wearing pillows on your head.
They sound good for rock when they are on my fat head I dream I am in Woodstock listening to purple haze.

  • Thanks OP!

    • That’s the Aussie spirit. Stock up for next shortage.

    • lol! same here

I had first gen Marshall Major none wireless one, they are so uncomfortable to wear, so if you guys like to use it for long hours, skip this headphones, otherwise it's gonna be torture

    • At this price, with the cable outlet you can use them as an AptX stereo reciever for your over-ear ones:-)

  • +5

Thanks OP. Don't forget the $10 off Coupon via the mobile app with APPONLY10. Got mine for $45.

    • How did you manage that? I tried the code and got an error message saying it can't be applied to the purchase, via the app.

Correction, realised it was for first time app users.

      • I entered the code on the Android App and worked for me.

        • +1

          Didn't work for me :(

    • First time app user, android and not working.

  • +3

Super tempted before realising they are on ear.

  • How's the call quality on these?

    • +1

Auditioned these a while back at JB and the sound was hard to like.

Think my expectations were too high considering the name on them.

  • Thanks OP! Grabbed a pair. Good deal based on what the major retailers are selling them for!

    • +2

"major retailers", I see what you did there

  • So can use either Bluetooth or 3.5mm?

    • +1

Yes. You can also plug a second pair of any wired earphones or other phono connection to the second phono slot, meaning you can share the output if your source has the power to drive them.

      • Or is there just one slot, and you can only share audio while listening to a bluetooth source?

        • No, there are two inputs, one left and one right. You can use one as a second sink, but I can't imagine a reason for me to care if I could to use both as inputs.

      • Thanks, bought it for my wife to replace her old Sony 3.5mm.

If not good can always return it with prime.

      • Ah it all makes sense now - deals obviously ended by anyone reading keep in mind these ones are the bluetooth version - so there is only one 3.5 mm connection.

The non bluetooth version "Marshall Major II" has a second 3.5mm connector allowing you to listen via cable AND share via cable. This function is not possible in the bluetooth version, where you listen via bluetooth and share via cable.

No the manually clearly said use the 3.5mm socket to share and if battery dies, simply pug in the double-ended cord.

    I'm trying to resist…must fight…

Have too many headphones already…but don't have these one's.

    • Now you do :-)

      • +1

How did you know! Yes now I do.

  • Thanks OP! Got one for $45 (First time user of Amazon App). Don't know if I really need them but ozbargained a pair first…

  • Bought a pair, thanks

  • +1

    All gone :-(

  • +2

Got these the last time they were on offer - just be aware that they can get a bit tight around the ears on extended periods of wearing (hours at a time) but otherwise quite nice. Battery life is especially good. Bluetooth takes priority over 3.5mm out and 3.5mm output can cut out occasionally on the headphone side but its nothing unplugging and replugging can't fix.

    • I have to agree with the tightness over the ears. If you wear glasses and plan to wear this for a long time, I would suggest getting something different. I would have got another pair as a backup or for a gift at this price.

  • +3

Comes up as $139, guess price has been adjusted.

  • How do these compare to the other brands always sold on here? I see others for $80-85 on Amazon which people love.

    Look like they're gone.

    • If I had seen this earlier I would have bought a second pair. The battery life on these are great. I have had mine for a while and still in great condition. They are quite painful when first using them and previously posts suggested to put them on the box to expand. I can't use them long term when wearing glasses as presses down and after long periods hurts. However for travel as I use public transport a lot. I really like them! The knob control for changing songs, pausing, works well. I am not a fan of using them as a hand free for my phone but the microphone works alright.

These are sold from Amazon US which use Fastway as the courier and Fastway will return yr item if delivered to a parcel locker or parcel collect.

    • Serious? Can someone confirm this?

    • +1

      It said Amazon AU

    • Edit - the current ones are sold through Amazon US

  • These compared to Taotronics?

  • +2

You was robbed hamza. About 2000 clicks and a sold out item and yet under 70 votes. Nice find.

  • Thanks op. Got one

  • +2

As someone who bought few fake headphones off eBay and amazon, seeing the price, it makes me highly suspicious these are fake. I made a list on Ozbargain on how to check if a marshall monitor is fake. I believe you can follow most of the steps for Marshall Major as well.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/406260

The best test you can do is to check the APTX codec.

    • +1

It's sold by Amazon Commercial Services so highly unlikely they are fake. The fake ones are most likely sold by third part sellers. The previous deals indicating they are legit and it has been around $60 previously.

  • Z reviews said the monitors are horrible don't know about these

    • The monitors sound pretty good as long as they are original.
I wonder if he tested an original or fake.
A lot of reviewers on youtube were corrected by viewers about thinking fake ones to be real Marshall monitors.

  • Cheers OP, hope this is no fake..

  • I had a pair of these, pretty crappy build quality for Bluetooth headphones. Audio is ok but nothing special. Personally, I wouldn't recommend buying them, even for $55.

    • Is the set you have legit? I have a pair from Amazon and I would say the build quality pretty good. I have heard the fake ones have very poor quailty.

      • I purchased them from Amazon too. I'm not certain whether they were fake or not but I ended up selling them. Maybe I'm use to better headphones like Bose and Yamaha.

    • Are you sure not fake?

  • +1

    Cheers @hamza23, got one yesterday.

    Arrived, charging now.

    • check if it connects to APTX and solve the mystery for everyone

      • Still charging, how long it needs to fully charge it seem very long.

        • There should be enough signs cosmetically to indicate whether genuine or fakes.

        • Very strange, I just plugged it into my fast charge port and the light turned white but plugged it back to normal charge port red again.

There should be enough signs cosmetically to indicate whether genuine or fakes.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2SfYypAb58

check if it connects to APTX

Even under my TCL Plex bluetooth settings, already have HD audio: Qualcomm aptX audio on/off button. Developer options also said aptX.

Listening my DSD Hi-res music, not bad but agreed with some comments it is a bit tight

      • Mine are aptX

  • +3

Received mine today, definitely genuine, checked the sound codec and its AptX.
    Thanks OP for a bargain!

    • +1

I found that it is quite tight to wear.

I am doing exactly this now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qccP2g5wBDY

Let see if it will get better before decide to keep it or not.

      • it didn't say for how long should we keep the headphones like that?

I'm finding mine too tight as well, i guess it'll loosen up over time.

    • how can you check sound codec as being APTX on a windows 10 machine?

      • Not on Windows only on phone

        • how do you do it on phone. I have access to iPhone SE (original) and Samsung Galaxy S10
Also have a MiBox 3 or Panasonic 4k tv that I could test with

          • @bwilso06: On Android you have to enable developer mode and you will see the codec in it.

Even after connected Bluetooth under settings you should already see enable HD audio aptX there.

  • For those who have received the headphones, from a pure sound quality perspective, worth the $55?

    • It's hard to complain for $55. I'm thinking about spending a bit more hard earned for better quality sound though.

      • Try some better quality music first to see the difference, like MQA Hi-Res

      • agree, but some posts have said not worth recommending even at $55

        • +1

but some posts have said not worth recommending even at $55

I think some bought fake, I would said not bad for $55 comparable with my Soundpeats.

So depends on what kind of headphone you are using now, if you are using high-end model now of course couldn't compare.

  • Very happy with the headphones quality but the box was covered in large greasy fingerprints..

  • Mine came today. All legit if going by the aptX codec.
A little tight so will stretch them a bit using above method.

    • 24 hours on the box and they are much better. Still snug, but in a good way now.

      • Thanks. That's the plan mate.

I was expecting them to actually be tighter after reading all the comments.
