CTEK MXS 5.0 $105.56. I bought one $97 last month.
Repco Max at Logan City is doing them for $84.49. Best price I think I've ever seen and no idea why all their prices are a good $30-40 cheaper than everywhere else!
Just saw your post! very cheap.
Good charger. Bought one recently.
Using this price for my price protection :)sorry but do i need to take the battery out of the car before charging? thanks
No, this can clip on direct.
No just clip on and plug in, just the same as the alternator in the car does….
Do you clip both directly on the battery or the negative clip on the engine or clip point as suggested in the manual when you do a jump start?
Can do either. They supply eyelets that can be permanently attached to the terminals and a quick release clip to attach/detach the charger so it's not detrimental to attach directly to the battery.
Much cheaper from REPCO. $114 when you apply the 20% Cash rewards
This is MXS 7.0.
Yes MXS 7.0 is $142.99 from Repco Logan Max.
20% off Repco cash rewards makes it $114. Much cheaper. It is $224.90 in VIC, MXS5.0 is $127.40 with bonus powerbank.
@jimojr: Yep large variance in price state by state.
Does anyone know if this is worth getting over the XMS 5.0?
Only differences i can see is the larger capacity (7 vs 5) and the ability to use as a 12v power supply?
Larger capacity for larger batteries.
150 vs 110Ah or 225Ah vs 160Ah maintenance charging. The 5 is going to be suitable for most car applications, it's only really big deep cycle batteries that would have an Ah rating above 110.

This diagram will help you choose
I have a 110ah deep cycle battery used for camping trips… will the 5a charger be sufficient if I’m only using it to charge a couple of days before a trip? Probably only use it 5-6 times a year.
The specs say it's capable, as long as it's in reasonable condition and not really flat it will be fine. Probably better for the battery (and charger) to be constantly hooked up really.
[Deleted] google to the rescue
Hi Guys Managed to get the store next to me price match on MXS 5.0 it to the Repco Max Logan City so it worked out to be 84.49 - 16.90(CashBack offer) = 67.59.
The guy in the store said the powerbank is kind of useless. The sales on till 2marooo.Might be done, its showing as $196.95.
Good price, holding out for the MXS 5.0 hopefully from REPCO for $100 mark
