I've run out of Pablo and Rusty coffee that came with my Breville so was on the hunt for some more beans to cure working from home mornings.
2KG for $53.56 delivered in VIC with the code.
$26.78/KG delivered for St Ali is pretty good!
Enjoy.

Big cafe in Melbourne - Google has 2122 reviews, 4.3 stars.
One of the first “third wave” coffee places as they were called then. The owner is a bit of a world pioneer in specialty coffee.. founded sensory lab roasters as well. Some of their beans are very good. This one wasn’t to my liking a bit over roasted for my taste but I think that’s what they’re going for.
St Ali’s original founder, Mark Dundon, was very much a coffee and cafe pioneer.
Malatesta - the current owner - is first and foremost a business man. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but I don’t think he’s that much of a coffee specialist himself.
Yeah. Seems like the new owner is not good in the head.
@chonkie: Yeah? I had no idea.. his name gets thrown around a lot in relation to specialty coffee and cafes. I remember he ran the sushi/coffee joint at melbourne uni when i was a student there (I think he himself might have been in his final year when I started) and later sold it and made a packet.
Can't tell if freshly roasted or not
Usually next day roasting . Not sure about this one, but I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Leading coffee brand at least in Melbourne. The only thing is this deal is not as good as previous proud Mary or Cartel beans.
every time i've bought from them the roast date has been within a few days of purchase
So 2kg total for $55 delivered?
I originally thought it was 4kg total for $55 which would constitute a deal.
Thanks, first time ordering. Let's see how they are compared to the competition.
Hope you enjoy! They're a great cafe if you're ever in Melbourne
Anyone try this blend before? Have tried their medium roast blends and wondering how this compares for milk coffees.
This is so good. I've been having it since the deal and it's really great as an espresso, and works well as long black and latte
So the code gives a couple of extra $ saving only for those in Vic?
Code didn't work trying to ship to Sydney.
Didn't work trying to ship to Adelaide as well.
Yes, didn’t work for Brisbane either. Also, the site says $65+ for free shipping not $60 as above - I’m confused
I want the wide awake or orthodox. I love their wide awake blend. Never tried this before. any thoughts on this?
Their Moccamaster $85 p/month deal got me interested in the unit itself (having lived in California, I got used to the taste of filtered coffee). https://stali.com.au/collections/moccamaster-subscription
Problem is the deal really isn't any cheaper than buying the 1kg coffee p/month and Moccamaster Classic (rrp $420-450), with the exception that you're getting everything delivered.
I would LOVE if there was a true deep discount on this unit (first preference) or subscription service. Any coupons or suggestions appreciated.
Any views on freezing some of this? My previous research suggested this was heretical. Is this still the case - any other viewpoints or longer-ish storage options?
I freeze and don't notice a difference. JH's youtube videos is what tipped me over the edge in giving freezing a shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uT5_IWWb00
Usually I freeze in 250-500g portions, resealable airtight bags. Defrost the day before use and then use the bag over the course of 1-1.5 weeks. Works for me and given all these awesome coffee deals recently, I've got a nice variety of different blends/single origins stored away.
basic chemistry would tell you lower temp means slower oxidisation and longer for volatile oils to evaporate …..just need to make sure it’s air tight container and as little air as possible in container.
Thanks both.
Code isn't working - Inner Melbourne postcode, just me or anyone else have the same problem?
Hmmmmmm they emailed me the code the next day after adding to cart and not checking out. It wasn't tied to the email earlier today.
Unless they have just changed it to be unique to the email.
Yeah not working here either for Melbourne
Not working in Queensland either
Code doesn't work :(
Not working for me either :'(
anyone have reviews of these guys?
