Terrible customer service and they don't even reply to your emails…

    • -1

apologies, we try to respond to everyone. we have two people dedicated to emails.
During covid it has been difficult to respond to all.

    • They answer when you sick PayPal onto them.

      • -1

That's not true, our email department isn't connected to finance or paypal.

        • +7

          Or the RJ45 cable?

      • I have raised it with Payal and now I have to wait till 30th May for them to respond.

        • +1

Same. I was the only one replying to my emails and no one would follow up on anything. Finally escalated to PayPal where they still haven't replied to anything for 3 weeks.

    • I found them pretty responsive. I mean my slippers took 2 weeks to ship, but they always responded to my emails within a day.

    • -3

Don't know about you, but my experience with them was good. Maybe you got up on the wrong side of bed that day?

    • I can vouch to that, my slippers still has not come yet, it also took them 1 week to respond my email saying my items has been shipped, but auspost track says only shipping info received since 2 weeks ago. Not happy.

    • The coupon code should've been changed to OZGUILT

  • Not the worst, but not great. How did the last sale go with 500 odd? I bought slippers in one before and it took a while.

    • Still waiting for mine to ship…..no reply to my email asking what's going on with the order either.

  • -2

This deal will end this week with only 200 available and all will be shipped before Friday.

  • +3

I got caught out by the mini ugg sale "this time around we are only selling what we have ready, 150 pairs only".
Mine was 'in production' 3 weeks later so wouldn't trust you have "only 200 available"

    • -4

We over sold that sale by about 100 pairs, and the rug by about 40 rugs. stocktake miscount.
It was bad and we are sorry for the inconvenience.
The reason we put set numbers now is bc we did a Scuff sale that ended up selling about 6,000 pairs and completely overwhelmed us.

    • +1

It's the classic "Impulse buy" tactic.

      Only xxx At this price!

It wouldn't surprise me if you clicked on it and it said 201 people are looking at this item right now!

      • -2

35 people looking, sold 20? we don't need to use sales tactics. we are trying to stop overselling.

  • +4

A lot of neggers here, but I'm really happy with the slippers I got from the last deal.
First thing I look forward to in the morning is warming my toes in them.

Yeah it took a while to be delivered, but less time than slippers being shipped from China, and considering they were about as cheap but Australian made and owned I'm not complaining.

    • +2

I'm with you, my wife loves the mini uggs I got from one of their previous deals. I will likely buy some for myself next time they are on sale. I had no issues with delivery other than the packaging (plastered with Ugg Australia) gave away what my gift was.

      • +1

do u guys aware of this UGG (https://uggaustralia.com.au/) is not the same as this (https://au.ugg.com/) ?

        • As in one is an Australian own company that manufactures their products in Australia (https://uggaustralia.com.au/) and the other is an American owned brand that make their Ugg boots in China and tried to trademark the term Ugg Boots in Australia so no other company could use the term. Yes I am aware

          • @burty1992: this is ridiculous,
what u literally saying is u could make a company called "Apple Australia" and start selling lphones as long as they ar Austalia made ?

tried to trademark the term Ugg Boots in Australia so no other company could use the term.

yes ! this is how copyright works ! and this is why so many countries in the world but only 1 Chanel only 1 Ferrari existed, doesn't matter where they manufacturer their products u just can't use the name like this.
not sure about the law, but this definitely not sounded right.
the American owned made their name world known first,
and this Australia owned no only copy the name but also copy the designs as well,
what make u think is ok to do such things?

              • @burty1992: i don't want to get into this trademark dispute,
it just a simple argument; can others use a fruit name as their brand name besides apple inc…

Ugg is a boot style, so perhaps everyone could use the name freely.
BUT here is the thing, u cannot just copy the designs !! UGG is a style for boots, u can use the style but not designs from a other company!

the fact is this Australia company not only just copying the designs for ugg BOOTS but also copy the SLIPPERS !
                here and here

since they copy the designs, this is not just a simple trademark dispute.

            • +2

@samelight: You're right about one thing - you're not sure about the law. Generic terms are usually exempt from trademark in this country. Deckers, a US company, lost their infringement claim in this country as they should have given Australia was the originator of both the term ugg boot and its products, AND the business name is patently (lol) misleading. Where did you get the fable that Au made ugg boots copied their "designs"? Next you'll be telling us that all shoe designs are unique. Do you really believe that Deckers and your beloved "Ugg (not) Australia" invented scuffs? The notion is fanciful.

The summary of the many complex issues involved in the Uggly dispute, including info which rebuts your claim wrt the origins of the name Ugg Australia, are in the link posted by Burty. If you're going to comment you really need to brush up on your knowledge.

              • @[Deactivated]:

c this is why i said

i don't want to get into this trademark dispute,

                ppl just start trolling.
                and

Where did you get the fable that Au made ugg boots copied their "designs"?

so u telling me those ar not copies?

                here and here

you could argue about the brand name, but once again once u copy the designs then there is no excuse! and those ar not even boots!!

Here's a link of what ugg boot is,
                https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugg_boots

style is not the same as design! u could use the style but not design!
of coz u could still argue they look simular but not exactly then same, or whos copying who,
but in deep down we all know whats going on here.

                • @samelight: Boot, shoe and slipper designs have been around for centuries. Scuffs - irrespective of what they are made from all have the "same" basic design - a foot base and a slide in cover (of varying widths) for the area between the ankle and the toes. No doubt your mates stole that from makers who existed long before they and their company existed? Most of us do indeed know what's going on, about time you did. While you're at it how about you tell us why you're so invested in this OS company.

Your comment about ugg "boots" being just one design is ridiculous. Do you think Apple makes only apples, or more to the point that footwear makers only make one style of shoe/boot/slipper/scuff?

                  • @[Deactivated]:

Boot, shoe and slipper designs have been around for centuries.

all Boot, shoe and slipper have the same design? perfume also have been around for centuries.
even longer for songs, and they all have the same basic 7 notes. so what ?
                    now u just trolling.
                    u have a good day.

                    • @samelight: Now if you take that perfume thought and apply it to footwear what do you come up with? Exactly the opposite of what you've been arguing about footwear made from sheepskins and wool. Not prepared to divulge why you are so invested in the issue?

        • We have been around about 15 years longer than the Ugg you refer to, we are 100% made in Australia.
We won our court case to keep our name because we proved we were using it long before them.

    • -4

considering they were about as cheap

      i really don't get what u talking about…
if u ar buying this UGG (https://au.ugg.com/) shipped from China then yes they ar about the same price.

but this ugg (https://uggaustralia.com.au/), i wouldn't say its a knockoff, but definitely dodgy.

    • I'm sure I'd be happy with mine if I could wear them. 3 weeks on and haven't been sent yet.
I thought everyone negging them in that deal was harsh but I completely get it now.

      • Well for me, I knew there'd be delays, I waited, and it was worth the wait.
        Love my slippers.

If I paid full price and/or they weren't great quality I'd be pissed too, but life isn't always 100% perfect when you ozbargain.

Queen size was $135 last time

  • Picked up the Mini Uggs in a recent deal, they arrived pretty quickly (especially considering COVID) and seem decent quality.

I know some people have a bug up their ass about this mob but I haven't had issues so far, and will keep an eye out for other deals on boots.

  • are these stitched in diamonds or squares to prevent the wool from bunching?

      which one ?
      this or this ?

i would spend abit more and get the real one.

edit: for some reason i can't reply at the top ?!

      • +2

The website listed in the deal, you're the only one continually bringing up that other site for some reason

        • Samelight wanted to get to 699 comment 😉

        • when i c ppl continually selling lphones i will bring up the iphone sites too, just don't know why…
Support the original ? Support the genuine ?

          • @samelight:

Support the original ? Support the genuine ?

And that would be Australian made uggs, or at least uggs made by Australian companies, as most know. And that's even if you have no understanding or appreciation of what that means for Australian workers, Australian growers, and the economy. Time you stopped spreading false information methinks.

          • -1

@samelight: The one by the American company is neither original or genuine.

            • @[Deactivated]: Oops meant that to be a +

        • +2

@samelight sounds like a china bot

  • A lot of negs here but i'm more than happy with the rug I got during the last promo - simple process, good saving and arrive pretty soon too.

  • +3

If you guys don't have any issues with orders then great.

But if you have issues, this company has been terrible to deal with and stopped replying emails. Their phone line is also non-functional most of the times. Refer to the ugg slippers deals in the past.

To anyone who still wants to buy from these guys, make sure you use PayPal.

    • I had issues… and they were sorted

  • Do you guys do a wool underlay?
I might be keen for that.

  • +4

I actually supported and defended these guys on a previous post. My first experience was good with them. Then I decided to give them a go again and my experience was dispicably awful. Cameron and Anthony (the 2 guys on emails and that post here) are pretty quick to respond when things are going OK. But if there is an issue, you'll get no response and probably find them hiding in a cupboard.

All can be forgiven if the issue is managed well. These guys just don't have the skills to deal with such situations.

Misinformation and lies. No ethics. I would never buy from these guys again.

    • I'm waiting for them to provide a solution to a problem I had with their product. Guess I'll have to join the list on productreview.com.au.

      • can you DM me your problem

        • 3 emails already sent. Nothing to add from my end. I'll be adding my product review late next week if that helps?

          • -1

@[Deactivated]: how can we know who you are? maybe your emails aren't going to the right place. I tried to help you but you don't want to be helped?

            • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: I know for a fact my original email got to you. There's no reason to think the others - which have been ignored - didn't. IF you were/are interested in helping it shouldn't take a deal website "shaming" to do so. How many unresolved problems do you have?

    • Seems a bit harsh, nobody is hiding that's for sure. is your issue resolved? Do you want to DM me?

  • +1

Had a terrible experience with this mob. Check the bad reviews from verified purchasers on productreview.com.au

  • +1

Steer clear away from this company if you want your order to be received within a reasonable time frame, and more importantly if you want even an inkling of customer service when wanting to get an update on the order.

    • as mentioned, all quilts have been shipped, 1 day after purchase?

      • Hah! That's very reassuring I'm sure /s

This coming from a company that still hasn't sorted out their fk up in this deal

Apparently my order was "shipped", yet the results from AusPost stated "Shipping information approved by Australia Post Mon 4 May 10:07am"

Still want to be all c0cky about it… More the reason I'd never do any further business with your company in future.

Why don't you do us all a favour and start processing the PayPal cases or refunds from credit card purchases to those customers that have requested, rather than posting up smirk responses here :)

        • -2

We wont be helping you at all. Your language and attitude is Vile. We have tens of thousands of great customers to attend to.
Please purchase elsewhere in the future, we do not need customers like you.

          • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: Still the arrogance to think that I’d even consider to purchase from you in the future when I’ve already stated you won’t be getting any further business from me.

Funny thing is that I was one of the ones to back your company initially and wanted to give you more business.

Now I don’t feel all that bad when you’re business is getting hammered with bad reviews and feedback.

Not asking for your help, why would I think I’d be getting any of that based on your business’ atrocious customer service. However, I do expect my money back for non delivery of products and services. If I need help, I’ll be asking from Consumer Affairs VIC instead.

            • +3

@AnDyStYLe: Agree, his comments reflect badly on the business. Little wonder Au consumers have such a low regard generally for customer service in this country.

Here you go UggAustraliaOfficials, read through this from Jay of AminoZ and learn how it should be done.

              • @[Deactivated]: +1 for AminoZ… Everytime i ordered from them I get regular updates if something is in back order or getting delayed. They even send SMS notifications.

They also notify us when the stocks arrived and let us know when its going to be dispatched.

If UggAustralia have their own tannery they should be able to provide similar updates as they will have greater control and visibility of their products from being manufactured to ready for dispatch unlike companies which rely on dropshipped items.

There is a lot of learning here and considering their attitude OzBargainers should be wary of this company in the future.

  • Thanks to everyone who purchased, all orders for quilts have been posted.
