  • I wouldn't be without one. I've had 3 punctures in my tyres since the DH tradesman moved across the road with his mongrel barking dog.

I've had 3 punctures in my tyres

This one is to repair tires though…

50 pieces of Tire String … but no cable ties.

Tyres should be repaired from the inside, not plugged.

Unless you’re on safari or something, go to a tyre shop, people.

    • What is the reason why these tyre repair kits aren't suitable?

    • +1

Meh, works fine for me & use of it once pays for itself compared to Tyre joints charging $30 & upwards for a basic puncture repair.

Yes - Tyres should be repaired from the inside, but this method works fine if done properly, i've had a tyre plugged for over 2yrs & it doesnt leak..

    • Well they kind of are with this tool. The plug is pushed in and then withdrawn back through from the inside, then cut…

    • It's much easier to use a kit when out on a day trip in the bush on bike or 4x4 than changing the whole tyre.

    • Last time I went to a tyre shop they repaired it exactly this same way.

  • Heavy Duty T-handle made of metal

    Looks plastic to me.

    • Dipped coating over metal

      • You sure? Most of the cheapies I've seen have plastic handles. Not a nice feeling if it snaps while you're trying to drive a plug in.

    • Hi mate,
I just asked them, they said: “ It's made of metal, and the red part is rubber wrapped around the metal — it protects your hands and your tools.”

And if you need more information about this products, you are welcome to click the link provide above to see the product details~~~
      Thanks mate.

  • Main reamer and plug tool look reasonably good quality, but kit is confusing (why include tyre valve stems if you're not breaking the bead and removing the tyre?), missing crucial tools (side cutters not pointy pliers) and not competitively priced. Sorry OP but this just isn't good value for money. Do you have other products to share?

For anyone looking to get one of these kits, if you are pulling a nail out of a tyre you will need a pair of (regular sized) side cutters, not pointy nose pliers.
