Thought this one is worth of it's own post. Unfortunatly the standalone game doesn't hit the threshold to have the coupon applied, however the Gold Edition of the game comes down to $18.73, which is less than the standalone game is being sold for ($22.48).

    I liked the environment of 4, but 5 is the better game mechanically. Every Farcry game is pretty much the same with marginal gameplay improvements and new skins - I still buy every one when it's cheap enough though.

    5 is far superior to 4. I'm about halfway through 5 now and it's a blast, whereas I couldn't bring myself to finish 4.

      What about 4 didn't grab you? I liked the environment as it was a little bit more "unreal", whereas Montana obviously had to be fairly rooted into actual landscape styles.

        I thought the setting would be interesting but I found it extremely tedious after a while, there just wasn't enough variety. And I hated the psychedelic Shangri La sequences as well. The abductions in FC5 are generally awful too, but luckily they don't happen that often.

        I've always preferred games that are a bit more rooted in reality (despite FC5's absurd setting and plot), so I guess I'm biased that way.

        I also didn't like the constant climbing of towers to take them over in FC4, and the verticality.

        FC4 did have a far more interesting villain in Pagan Min though.

          @deadpoet: I had forgotten about the psychedelic stuff, but that's a fairly constant FarCry feature. I guess I agree with all your points.

  Far Cry 4 Gold Edition is also $11.98 after coupon getting applied.

  IMO the better game.

  Just a heads up, I just went to start downloading Far Cry 5, but seems like there's some issue with linking Uplay/Ubisoft, so I'm unable to download it at the moment.

      Do you know if you can can just launch it from uplay without using the Epic launcher?

        So it seems like you just need to link it to your Ubisoft account, then it appears in your Uplay library, no need to have Epic open.

  Why are the makers of these games obsessed with drugs?

  I enjoyed 5, 3 and 4 had better story lines though. I like 5 removed such a need to hunt in crafting things.

  3 was great, the enemies were just not smart enough…
