yeah i had my last two orders of rb2140s ship out from china by dhl express. i guess it's easier/cheaper for myer to drop-shop instead of having stock here

Most Ray-Bans are made in China these days, or assembled in Italy from components sourced from China. They'd likely be shipped from China for global distribution, too. But apparently saying these things upsets Ray-Ban customers who'd prefer to think of their sunnies as bespoke luxury goods, rather than the mass-produced product they are.

Myer send it straight from China if it’s delivered. That’s my case from the sale a few weeks ago. Which means made in China, not Italy.
