Where did you find the T&C for the Sunglass Hut deal? I can't find it anywhere

    • If you go into the special offer section it says ends 15 Mar

      • It's weird that the offer is still showing up on the promotional carousel

        • I think he was referring to the $50 code

  • Am I missing something, why can't I find the code for sunglass hut?

  • Can you take frames and get prescription lenses inserted?

Anyone used Zenni to do this??

    • +1

as far as i'm aware, Zenni don't do prescription lenses on third party frames.

you'd have to go to a local optician or send it to a place that does reglazing.

in addition to all that, you'd have to make sure the frames are suitable for prescription lenses e.g. they can't be too curved. so Wayfarers would be ok, but some of the aviators and wrap-around styles wouldn't be

    • My prescription isn't that strong, but I had prescription lenses put in my 4179's about 3 years ago after the original lenses got scratched up. About 12 months ago I bought some similar looking prescription sunnie's from Zenni, and should be receiving some replacement lenses shortly for my Ray-Bans from here.

I figure it's far cheaper to get prescription sunnie's from Zenni to keep in the car, and replace the lenses in the RB's with non-prescription lenses when needed. There are online suppliers that can do prescription lenses for the big brands but IME it isn't any cheaper than going to the local optometrist.

  • Edit: they now saying order on the way haha

  • I haven't purchased from Myer for some time. Apparently my Ray Bans are being sent from China. What year should I expect to see them?

    • Mine too. At least we'll have them for next summer.

    • Same

  • Just a word of warning, I ordered a pair and got the DHL shipping details as an SMS.
They're coming from Donguan City (China).
I guess I assumed buying from Myer it would ship from within Australia.

So I don't know if my shipment will take longer with the strain on deliveries right now and scrutiny on packages leaving China.
If you want a pair, maybe find a Myer store with them in stock and buy them in person.

sending from china omg, why did i pay so much for made in china glasses, the cost is like 20 cents each.

i will try to return it to get a full refund after i received it

    • I'm honestly going to demand a refund it they take too long to arrive.
It seems like poor form to be an Australian retailer presenting the same stock they have in-store online and then shipping it direct from China without warning. Even more so under the current circumstances.

Fortunately it's not Auspost who are warning of massive delays in parcels from China and some other regions. So they'll probably arrive in decent time.

      • i already emailed them for a refund as my dhl shipment got stuck at pickup stage for many days. of course no reply from them.

        • That sucks.
Fortunately I got my package this morning, but like I thought it's a gamble.
Definitely buy in-store if you're thinking about using this deal.
