Gee, did not last long. Hate this about amazon, good luck those with the fast fingers.

    • Damn these GearWrench deals expiring so quickly! Hopefully a few got in before the price was jacked.

We need to rethink Amazon posts.
They really are turning out to be click bait.

Price goes up after 1 item being sold.

Your comparing some no name China brand with Gearwrench? Ok…

Where do you think these are made?….. Nearly all hand tools are made in Shenzen and stamped with whatever logo the buyer wants.
I use hand tools daily. I've bought cheap tools that were awesome, and expensive tools that are crap. I reckon the eBay ones look the part. Until you use them, you can't say they're crap, nor can I say they're awesome. I definitely don't deserve 3+ negs from the keyboard warriors that use a shifter once a year to adjust the seats on their fixies….

Taiwan makes better tools than Chiyna!!!

        • The number of teeth and off corner loading don't appear to be on the china one. Both dealbreakers.

When I need these, I'm in an awkward space so need the teeth so that small turns actually trigger the ratchet effect and guarantee the bolt is a tight mofo and the corners are going to round and make the job hell

@justtoreply: The eBay ones are 72 tooth and have off corner loading. Feel free to pay full price for the same spanner on Amazon though.

Fair dinkum, you neggers have no idea about hand tools and where they're made. Keep paying full price though!

Also, the 72 tooth ones are not intended to tighten up bolts "as tight as a mofo". A ratchet tooth that's 1/72 of a full circle is rather small and not intended to have massive loads placed upon it. Best to do up snug and then finish off with a regular spanner.

Supercheap usually does this for approximately $42 on sale occasions its at $79.90 atm tho.

That one is not a ratcheting wrench though.

  • I am a genuine buyer who has had 100% no success with these Amazon prices.

Has anyone actually managed to buy a cheap Amazon Gearwrench ratchet spanner set. It seems that no sooner than they are posted than they have expired.

    Amazon click bait?

    • This is not a bad price if you’re interested in the gearwrench ratchet spanner set (12). it’s available at sydneytools for $99 with free postage.

      • Thanks - aware of that one - crazy how much cheaper the black set is.

    • Set a 3x camel email alert. The price of these fluctuate almost daily. You'll probably be able to pick it up for this price in the next few days.

    • I got them for around this price some time ago. Problem is they are not offset and you cannot reverse them if you get them stuck on a bolt/nut. so that can be quite annoying.
