        I do it for all my orders. GBP will always work out cheaper than AUD, even factoring in exchange rates from paypal/your bank

        That used to be the case, but I think after the AU site launch, the price after conversion is quite similar. Or at least, the few items I last checked. They were only couple of cents of difference.

        When I have checked recently, the GBP vs AUD have been almost the same (a matter of 10-20c different, when compared to xe.com).

        If your credit card charged a conversion surcharge, or you used paypal - I suspect using GBP actually may even make it cost more.

      It's a little cheaper. I usually do it right before I go through to payment and it's a bit less than 10% off simply by doing that. Asos's exchange rates aren't very favourable.

  believe there are many fans of ASOS here, surprise no one points out yet that the "up to 70% off" is not a special discount event at all. click either "men" or "women" menu, you can find the already/always highlighted in red "outlet/clearance". it is just like Zavvi's "Mega Monday - Up to 80% off PS3 Games for a limited time only‏" which happens EVERY monday.
